Still early, but placed a couple futures I already like. My favorite sport to bet on. Hit on Baylor last year, but also had the Zags.
Teams qualities that I look for.
-Seasoned guards, plays team defense, efficient scoring, & good coach.
Not buying the Zags yet this year. They’ll have the best big combo w/ Holmgren & Timme, but losing their best 3 guards last year hurts. Don’t trust Nemhard yet to lead this team. Some talented young talent coming in, but skeptical when it comes to March.
My FUTURES:
Michigan +1200 (Medium)
Memphis +2200 (small)
Really sold on Michigan. I think Howard is great coach, team kept a few key pieces from LY, and they bring in one my favorite freshman player in Caleb Houston. Kid is discipline, can shoot, and play defense. Should fit w/ Howard’s scheme.
*Memphis still needs to prove a lot, but team is prob the most dynamic and talented team. Should get in the tourney w/ no problem, just don’t know if they can play defense, hit the 3s, or if Hardaway can lead them

LB......good luck on those futures, my friend........I am not sold on Memphis as much as most.....I just haven't seen enough "coaching performance" by Penny/staff over the past couple years......I think Michigan might struggle without Smith at the PG early on (he did much more for them than just stats).....I agree, Howard is a fabulous coach and always gets the most out of the players......good luck this season......can't wait......

Smith (who was also a transfer) was definitely a floor leader LY, but in his replacement is a another great Senior transfer DeVante Jones…perfect replacement as he’s built like a running back. Strong guard, that’s not afraid to take it to the rack. Also expect Frosh guard Frankie Collins to get some playing time. #36 player in the nation, good ball handling skills, vertical game is strong, and very explosive to the rim. Between Collins and Jones, I’m pretty confident this position has probably improved for LY.

UCLA won way too many close games LY. They return everyone, but roster doesn’t scream they can repeat LYs performance. Would like them anything above 20:1.
Kentucky/Kansas - both reloaded and are better than LYs version. Kentucky will be a better outside shooting team for sure. Kansas will be decent w/ Remy Martin and bigs coming back. Not sure if I like the toughness or grit when it comes to facing a team like Michigan.
I do like Nova as prob my 3rd favorite play. They lost a key piece in Robinson-Earl, but return all their guards. They’ll prob have the best 1-2 guard combo in the nation. I’ll have to wait and see how physical their bigs are in the key. Would have prob pulled the trigger, if Cosby-Roundtree was healthy, but I guess they recently removed him from their roster.

interesting stuff with kentucky. not the usual freshman, one n done, blue blood team we are used to seeing. scooping up some big name vets for their team, and bringing back quite a few from last year. if cal can hold everyone's ego in check, they have the ability to cruise this year.
i could see purdue and fsu making some noise. overall i think big 10 in for a big down year. good luck this season
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

Saw the UKs scrimmage game and personally I wasn’t too impressed…but again it was a scrimmage.
Grady seems timid shooting, Wheeler was a bit wild at times, and interior presence could be problem (bigs seem non physical). One kid that stood out was TyTy. Pretty smooth dribbler basket, good mid range game, and might be their go-to offensive guy.
