As a Miami Heat fan, wtf, biggest tease ever
I dont even like Russ that much as a player but hearing all this news about a star to pair with jimmy was truly exciting. I did have a strong feeling it wouldn't happen because I knew team could offer so so much better then Justice Winslow, Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters, but Chris Paul?!?!?!?!?
Thats whats pissing me off, they did it for paul and 2 picks miami wouldve gave anyway. worst nba contract ever and thunder take him over young assets from teams like the suns, heat and pistons... wow im pissed

Chris Paul has stolen so much money from the NBA, maybe one of the fake news networks should do some investigative reporting on how hes gotten away with it for so long...is Current Affair still operating? Hard Copy?

I think Paul takes a buyout or he is stuck in OKC. Nobody wants that awful contract Chris Paul has. Harden and Westbrook will make the West really deep now. They are going to tough to play against. The West is not going to easy to get out of wow.

The main concept coming up is sending Paul to the Heat or having a 3 team deal with the Wizards and the Heat that might send wall to okc, beal to miami and cp3 to wizards...interesting but if okc is stuck with paul then idk why they ever did this

Thats the thing, Heat are trying hard to get Brad Beal, but wizards want them to take John Wall as well in order to make it happen

You need to understand the basic trading rules of NBA. For the trade to work, the salary of players sent out by the Heat need to match the salary of Westbrook. Moreover, they also need to fill in the remaining roster and keep the total salary under the hard map meanwhile. What is worse, they do not have any unprotected draft picks that can be traded before 2025. That makes it very difficult for the Heat to pull off a trade without a third team involved. Even if they manage to make an offer, it can hardly be better than the Rockets' offer, which include 2 picks + 2 swaps that the rebuilding OKC team values most.
By the way, I personally feel that the Rockets give up too much in the trade compared with the overall improvement of the team. Westbrook and Harden discussed about playing together after Paul's trade. It may be the pressure from Harden that leads to Morey pulling off the trade.

Worse than Latrell Sprewell? Gilbert Arenas? Rafa Arajuo? Oh this list could really be fun...todays era of contract $ amounts makes no sense to us due to the inflated league revenue...take a look at some of the ridiculous contracts players used to get when the league was not printing money yet from gambling and sponsorship/media deals.
Wall is just another Antoine Walker type...all the skill and natural talent youd ever want, but they just loved to eat too much...LEPTIN factor

Thanks for explaining how trading works, yes the my Heat did have loads of contracts to give up to match russ 38 mil, only thing broke it was the heat werent willing to give tyler herro or bam adebeyo. Which might haunt us for a while, tyler herro? kid looks great in summer league and all but if that was whats held us back from westbrook and he will be just an okay player, that will be horrible...
