Lets have some fun discussing the series as it evolves...the NBA is all about the show, storylines, plot twists, rogue refs...should be interesting the next 2 weeks.
May the better team win.

For some reason, I am positive the winner of game 2 will win this series
If the raptors win, they have all momentum and showed they can beat them well
If warriors win, 1-1 going back to oracle gives them a huge advantage
Should be a fun series tho

Yup, a series doesnt officially begin until a road team steals one...game 2 is huge for both teams.
Team Dynasty vs Team Destiny...nice to see Lebron nowhere near the court in June

Stu's first appearance in the thread. Let this thread be a celebration of a finals with no crying queen, no flopping Cockets, and no overhyped young upstarts. Just two veteran teams w/ great coaches. Great organizations overall. Great fan bases. Well....one great fan bases, one that used to be a great fan base before all the transplants and bandwagoners. Still some great true fans left though.
People think that if the Warriors steal one in Toronto, it's over. Even if they do (fingers crossed), veteran teams travel and can win on the road in any arena. It's all house money to me. The only team I dislike is the Rockets so once they were eliminated, I started to enjoy the games for what they were. I think Toronto deserves it most based on fan base and never winning. Portland comes in second. The Pacific NorthWest is my adoptive home and the people of Oregon are fantastic people and those are some great fans. Even being a diehard Warriors fan, I felt bad seeing them get swept like that.
Champ, House of Prime Rib is a SF landmark. Easy choice. Ruth Chris is great. A chain you can get just about anywhere. I'll have to look up a spot in Portland or Seattle as i'm in the Northwest half the time and that's where the Mrs is. When i'm back in the Bay it's for work with a little partying mixed in. A better question, based on game 1, would be what's your go to spot?

On to picks. I said esrly in the week, before numbers had even come out, that my only pick for game 1 would be a Danny Gteen point prop. I said I looked for him to have a break out game, defining breakout as 12 pts. He scored 11 on a prop of 6.5 pts. While I will have a Warriors wager in game 2 my main wagers are again player props.
Marc Gasol rebounds ov 6.5 -110
Marc Gasol points ov 10.5 -120
BOL to all.

Says the guy, on covers in said lounge. Why you gotta be calling kettles black, pot? Are you a racist?
You can always tell a loser, and a true hater, because they'll seek you out just to hate. I would never go into a "gambleholic69" thread just to throw shade. The name wouldn't even register with me. Do me a favor, bro. Get my d!ck out your mouth and stay off my cloud.

Oh, and i'm adding Warriors -3.5 +166
Not extremely confident as the Raptors looked like the better team in game 1 and have a clear advantage in the front court but I believe in the heart of a champion. And I know this Warriors team doesn't want to come back to 7000 Coliseum Way down 0-2.
Also leaning over 214 -110
I think it will be a grind out defensive game that somehow still ends up in the 110-105 range.

Whoa, you shouldn't of done it, bro. If it loses, the loss will feel waaay worse than the sum of the money. The only time I bet against the Warriors is 2H or live in a game where they are clearly just out of it and there's advantage in the line. Never pregame though. And don't get me started on my Cowboys. I've never placed a wager against the Cowboys and I literally started betting in the 4th grade. I'll fade the A's though. In an 162 game season, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I cant ever predict how the refs will choose to use their whistles...my area of knowledge is quite limited to pregame totals...im more an ingame specialist for those based strictly on +EV of 15pts+ based on the original line.
But in this modern era, its very hard to wager an under and ever feel good about it.

...but what can I say about Marc Gasol?
6pts 6 rebs @ the half....proceeds to not score a point or get a rebound for the entire 2nd half. Didn't attempt a shot. WTF
Gasol over 10.5 points -120
Gasol over 6.5 rebounds -110
Really, dude? Couldn't get one rebound in the entire half? And they wonder why they lost.
