Been researching how to efficiently bet on MLB for the last two/three months. Told myself until the end of April or May I'd have deposit $100, bet a dollar on the games I feel good about, track them in an excel sheet, and if the ROI looks good / I feel good, I'll start betting big money in the future. 11-7 on the year, up 4%, woo *cue "oh brother this guy stinks" from spongebob*
Phillies +170 (I believe it's worth it up until +135). Even as a Mets fan, I love Phillies' lineup. Even against elite pitchers, they are going to make the starter throw a fuckload of pitches. Phillies really should eat the Nationals bullpen, and Zach Eflin had a solid 2018, the K rate went up and he was hard on righties last year. I like these odds for Eflin keeping them in the game for a late-inning win. Could also take the Over at 7.
(Maybe) -1.5 Rays +145 if ML doesn't fall to -135; Love Snell, willing to look past his 2019 debut. Freeland's 4+ SIERA and xFIP from last year's 2.85 ERA means we'll probably see regression eventually, just don't want to be late to that party. Rays' bullpen so far has been good as well.
Looking at Twins ML if it stays under -150, Mets ML -130, not sure on anything else.
Cheers! Good luck to everybody this season. Glad to be posting here.
