Certainly felt like a grind yesterday, but the night action reversed the early afternoon struggle.. The units won helped by some losses on smaller ML Dogs, with big pickup on Large Marge wagers
Ok, Spaz why you keep talking about old ish.. true story, let’s get into Friday ackie
Iowa +4.5 -107 (26.75 units)
Iowa +175 (12 units)
On paper this looks like a delicious matchup for the bearcats D and the opening and now rising line corroborate the public feel the same way. But, and this has a big trunk, Iowa is a potentially terrible matchup for Cincy. The two things Iowa loves to do offensively is shoot the three and get to the foul line - and, yep, those are two things Cincy struggles with. They rank 215th in three point FG% defense; 339th in % of ooints allowed from behind the arc. The additional challenge is they don’t shoot the ball very well (256th in effective FG%) , often times relying on individual efforts to score, ie give the ball to Cumberland and get out of the way. Every player for Iowa who steps on the floor can and will shoot the theee with the exception of Cook. And if Cincy is forced to spread out defensively, Cook and Garza will have their way down low. Again, big ifs and big buts, but lot of points and seemingly lots of love for the Bearcats

NoKent is a very efficient offensive team and while TTech ranks # defensively, I’m going to stick with my statement that much of those defensive stats are skewed by a highly diluted Big12 conference. Nearly every team was not as good as they were last year, save for KState who is brutal offensively. I’m not saying TTech is not good on defense, I’m not even saying they aren’t the best, but they haven’t faced many efficient offenses who shoot at high %s. While the TTech offense has looked great at times, again, big 12 is down and not as easy to score when you’re facing pressure of a good offense

I like Cinci because of their physicality. I’m not sure if Iowa can play with the toughness and grit for all 40 minutes, cause that’s what it takes to beat Cinci. Of course, if Iowa gets hot from deep they could certainly win, just not seeing it. I do, however, completely agree with your statement on Tech and the Big 12. GL today

Normally I’d fade the stats and play the over on a total this low, but I’m backing the numbers. I know Irvine can score, but we could score on a big west defense. KState, with no Wade, will be best suited to slow this down and have this go 12 rounds of a sloppy slug fest
