No where on any forum or radio show or article is anyone giving the Patriots defense any credit. They won this game period. Whether it was BB, Brian Flores, or the players, or all of the above.
What we are hearing though is how bad the Rams offense was. In today's love obsession of high scoring offense we can't get our thoughts around defense actually winning a game.
Tom Brady lead his offense to 10 points. That's the bottom line. With the best o line to boot.
Don't get me wrong, the dude has ice in his veins. That 4th quarter drive was beautiful. He's 41, he's a great qb, he's a leader etc...
But just imagine if the Rams scored 13. Then what are we talking about today?

Ok but how come we are so ready to give Bellichik credit for the defense but no one wants to give the same respect to Phillips for the Rams defense?
I just dont see how its Brady's fault when the Pats pass rush D is failing to give him time to make plays and no one is open besides Edelman. How many catches did Hogan have? Where was James White in this game? Michel or Burkhead did a whole lot of nothing till very late in the game.
It was a defense-centric game and we know how these ones go, whoever scored the first TD was going to win this game. Just go look at the drive by the Pats that led to the touchdown....perfect rainbow throw to Gronk that started it for 18 yards and the best throw of the night again to Gronk finished it 2 yards from the Zone. Notice how Gronk was covered by more than 1 player on each of those plays....give the Rams defense credit, this wasnt a bad game by Brady by any means and once again, he took over when it mattered most.
Also many are giving the Pats defense credit, actually I have seen a lot of tweets that completely disregarding Brady and calling it a "Bellichik win", which is wrong. It was the combination of both....but where were the same people when Brady did his work last SB and Bellichik completely ****** up ? He was the reason they lost last year.

its better to step up when it matters and win the game instead of playing a near flawless game only to lose. it was a great team win for the patriots and everyone did their job. it probably was one of the worst game of toms this year but when everything on the line, he delivered. again. also not enough credit given to sony michel who has added another dimension to pats offense.
i just can't believe pats were +625/575 to win the super bowl before the playoffs began.

I still consider Montana the GOAT. Always will. Undefeated in Super Bowls, way better stats than Brady in the playoffs, and played when NFL players wore jockstraps, rather than panties.
