Handicapping the games this weekend was difficult. They were evenly matched, as both ended in overtime. I think moving forward the Superbowl will be much easier to chose as side. That's because there is no way in helll the patriots lose to the rams. I don't think there is even a question. Both the rams and the saints looked pretty bad today to be honest. The AFC was clearly the better of the two conferences this season and it'll show in the Superbowl.

Rams have performed equally well as the Patriots in the playoffs, and they were the stronger team most of the year.
They have the defense to cause issues as they have been solid against the run recently, have Suh & Donald on the defensive line, on offense they have great pass blocking, RBs, a pretty good QB, very good receivers, solid at TE.
I just think Rams are too loaded to say they don't have a chance.

I believe I may have gotten a little ahead of myself when posting this originally. After more thought, I do think this will be a good match up. I still give the edge to the patriots because of their experience however. You're right about the Rams d line potentially being a huge factor. The only thing concerning about saying that is everyone last week was saying the same thing about the KC defense being able to pressure Brady, which obviously didnt happen.

Yea I think Rams will still have a very hard time to get to Brady. That offensive line is somehow keeping all pressure off him every game, I have no idea how they do it. But they should have some penetration and significantly more pressure than KC.
The experience factor is definitely very hard to go against. Patriots also have room for improvement because they had silly mistakes against KC like the interception in the end zone and the ball glancing off Edelman's fingertips leading to an interception etc.
However the Rams have the better roster, more talent spread out across the team and a great coach who will probably be considered among the very elite coaches soon.

I'm really having trouble with this game.
It's very tough. I can think of several valid reasons to lean one way or the other, which is frustrating. I do agree that on paper the Rams are the superior team in terms of talent, but as we learn time after time, the unmeasurable qualities of the Patriots go along way.
I think it might be best to wait until it's closer to game day before making a pick. But for the time being, I still lean Patriots

While there will not be a home field advantage. Nevertheless the Patriots may have the jersey advantage
For Super Bowl LIII the L.A.Rams will be the designated home team and will wear their throwback blue jerseys. The Patriots will be considered the away team and will don their road white jersey's..

I'm the first person to throw money on the patriots most games... but I hesitate here. I think it is a coin toss, which for me is often a no bet. I'll either wait for the Rams to get more points or play the O/U (where I'm leaning under).

The NFL allows the WORST call in the history of sports that earns (sic) the Rams a trip to the SB and then let them lose it when they are trying to rally fans for the new stadium? You are high!

Its actually funny to think that the NFL will "ALLOW" the Rams to win because of a missed call and because they are building a new stadium.... The thought of you even saying this makes me wonder how high that IQ of yours is....

You could say that,if you are someone who doesn't know anything about Super Bowl jersey history.....and you seem to be one of them..
As ,,I posted in #6 The Patriots may have the jersey advantage..
For Super Bowl LIII the L.A.Rams will be the designated home team and will wear their throwback blue jerseys. The Patriots will be considered the away team and will don their road white jersey's..
Why is this important ...
Athletes across all sports are superstitious about clothing...e.i. basketball great Michael Jordan wore his University of North
Carolina shorts under his uniform as he led the Chicago Bulls to six
National Basketball Association championships.(Lets imagine that he washed them between games).
Well, since the Brady/Belichick era ..the Patriots are 3-1 winning three Super Bowls wearing their away
white jerseys 2005--20015--2017 and only lost once.. last year to the Eagles..
If, you don't like the jersey angle ..how about the pants advantage?
The Rams, who are making their fourth Super Bowl appearance, are 0-2 in
Super Bowls against teams wearing non-white pants. The Patriots will be wearing
blue pants..
So, when analyzing the
pros and cons of these teams ..and you are undecided who to pick ...it
might be helpful to know who has the jersey/pants advantage...

The Patriots Hype has reached new levels, add in Rams do not even belong in the SB due to missed PI call and you have a very delusional public betting heavily on the loser.
For 1/3rd the cap space Goff has out performed Brady in nearly every stat this year. This has allowed the rest of the Rams organization to achieve:

For sure, away from the Xs and 0s this is more than likely the biggest factor of all.
Billions of dollars are being spent to erect this state of the art building complex in Los Angeles and the Rams and Chargers are trying to carve out a fan base from this huge Southern California market.
What better way to do that than to spank that Pats' A$$ in front of God and everybody.

Dante Scarnecchia is the most under rated man on the Patriots payroll. I call that Brady retires when he leaves.

You are right Teapot_Dome,he's one of the greatest that's why the Pats drew him out of retirement to coach the offensive line in 2016...a lot of credit should go Scar and the offensive line he coaches,,because Tom Brady is the only quarterback who hasn’t been sacked in the playoffs..
..and that was against the Kansas City Chiefs defense ..tied for first in the NFL with 52 sacks..and also against one of the NFL’s best pass rushing duos in LA Chargers ..Melvin Ingram and Joey Bos..yet the Patriots were able to neutralize them..
