Big day today finding out who the teams in the Superbowl will be. Basically today and then an empty two weeks and the Game to end all 18/19 American football. Finally, on paper we have two very good games. That means at least one won't be a contest in my opinion.
Game 1 NFC I see this game as a track meet. Playing indoor with perfect conditions so the offenses should have no excuses. Both defenses strengths are there interior line so I don't expect to see an enormouse amout of rushing yards. If there are it will come from Gurley and the Rams which means bad things for the Saints. I believe the saints will bring help from their safeties bringing them down closer to the line of scrimmage which means that is Goff is accurate the passing game will be very tough. With the Saints I expect them to run between tackles at a bare minimum. Look for their running game to come from swing and screen passes. They will try to use the whole field and try to spread the Rams out. And what can you say about Drew Brees, first ballot Hall of Famer and he will be tossing the ball around all day. The saints have to avoid a flat beginning like last week because if the fans aren't loud and in the game the Rams offense isn' the Eagles and will put the nails in the Saints coffin.
Prediction: Rams 38 Saints 34
Game 2 AFC Yes it is going to be cold at Arrowhead today but not as bad as everyone expects. The temp should be in the low 20's around game time with little wind (about 5 mph) so weather shouldn't be a factor. Both teams play outdoor and are used to temps like this. Now about the game. The Patriots come in after a simple domination last week as do the Chiefs. The chiefs have had an extra day to prepare which will benefit an Andy Reid team for certain. I don't think either defense can consistantly stop the offenses so the game will come down to who make the mistakes with the ball. In my opinion it will come down to the QB's and although Brady has had an unbelievable career, he can't make plays with his feet nor can he improvise like Mahomes. Brady has to get rid on the ball quickly to be successful and I see the Cheifs getting a couple more stops than the Pats. I also believe they will win the turnover battle.
Prediction: Chiefs 37 Patriots 28
I'm taking the Rams +3 for 5 Units $550/$500 and the Chiefs -3 3 Units $330/$300
