Don't like the Chiefs spread, so I'm down to these two. It really bothers me that 70% of money is on Colts. Usually I love fading Chiefs in primetime games as the money is pounded on them, but this is weird.
Colts matchup SO well with them. Chiefs ONLY strength on defense is pass rush, which makes up for their horrible secondary. But the Colts have a top 2 pass protection O line in the league and should be able to neutralize it.
BUT Colts are a dome team, and playing in the snow, at the LOUD Arrowhead, with double digit winds, makes me worried.
Also, I think the NFL would much rather have a Chiefs vs Patriots/Chargers game for the AFC Championship than the Colts. Not a deciding factor for me, but something to keep in mind
What do you guys think? Any big edge I'm missing? I'm leaning Colts +5 but I have a feeling the Colts are getting too much Public love and Chiefs win by 2 TDs

You're missing a few big edges. For starters Colts, offense and defense are largely fraudulent. Now because the Chief's secondary is hot garbage the Colts offense will still put up points but the Colts defense will not stop the Chiefs at all.
Take the spread as it is paying beautifully right now. Almost even money.
Gigantic edges:
- Sammy Watkins is playing = Hill/Kelce will get open
- Colts defense didn't play a single top 10 offense all season long other than the Patriots who they got crushed by 38-24
- Media has been all over a 6th seed to win over the #1 seed and 2nd greatest offense of all time. When has the media ever picked a 6th seed to flat out win against the number 1??? It almost never happens.

If you are between those two, dont bet it. You have not made up your mind so wait for better spots. The only option would be to bet that KC wins that small margin.
It's the NFL Playoffs my man. Gotta have some action on the game haha

I agree that Chiefs offense should succeed, since Colts pass D is overrated. But their offense isnt the same without Hunt. I've been watching most their games, and since losing Hunt, you see 3 and outs or settling for FGs a lot more often. Also time of possession down since they cant control the run game.
BUT, the Chiefs defense.....what do you expect? The get bailed out by pass rush pressure every time, but Colts pass protection is insane. Marlon Mack should slow them down as well. So in a shootout, why not lean towards the better run game and better defense getting +5? Colts D is overrated but still far better than Chiefs D

Tchamps seems like you and I are the only people on the Chiefs covering. I think the Chiefs defense steps up this game. Although Watkins is not Hunt, he is still a major tall wide receiver who can make big plays.
Andy finally has a MVP QB like McNabb after riding with Mr Checkdown Alex Smith who always underperformed in the playoffs. Its this fourth straight trip to the playoffs, i dont see Andy losing fourth time in a row without winning a single playoff game with the Chiefs.
I think the dogs to take are tomorrow, not today. Charger and Eagles cover tomorrow

All of those offensive struggles have come because of Watkins, not Hunt. Watkins went down in the Rams game the last game Hunt played. So, of course, people assume it was Hunt that has caused this offense to slow down a little. It wasn't. Robinson and Conley couldn't beat man-to-man and get open often enough and Hill is usually blanketed for that reason. With Watkins back now, one of the 3 will get wide open especially against those holes in the zones.
For the defense, I believe we see a very good game by their standards. I believe the crowd and the better offense with Watkins back puts the Colts in a bad place early. Colts run game won't be effective when they are down 14 and the Arrowhead noise disrupts the OL and Luck's silent count. Luck will be pressured and he hates it. Add in the grass and cold and I see no way Luck can keep up with a better Chief's offense.
The defense doesn't need to play perfect they just have to limit the Colts to 24. Chief's offense will score more than 30 easily.

Agree with everything you said. I also believe the major story will be the Chief's defense stopping the Colts offense. No way will Colts be able to keep up the scoring throughout the game. I also believe the Rams are getting the exact same disrespect as the Chiefs.

I believe this too, but only for the majority of the game. Andrew Luck will make a very surprising comeback when everyone thinks Chiefs have already won the game.
Chiefs win, but Colts cover by the slimmest of margins and give Andy Reid a little fright. That probably means Colts score at least high 20s if not low 30s.
I like placing Chiefs in teasers, great candidate for a 10 or 13 point teaser too if you do those.

If there is one way Chief's don't cover your scenario would be it. Still after what happened in that Chargers game, I have to believe Andy Reid and more importantly, Mahomes will not take their foot off the gas late and up by more than 1 score. Chargers came back down 14 and won that game late. Can't see this team letting Colts get back in. With the line now at 4.5, it will take more than a backdoor effort to cover. For the Colts to cover 4.5 they'd have to be within reach of winning the game. Don't think the Chief's would allow that to happen even with Andy Reid's history.

I agree TChamps I think Andy is gonna remember that massive comeback loss from 2014(2013?) where Luck led them down like 21 i think. Reid wont make the same mistake again and knows how dangerous Luck can be. Hes gonna be stepping on their throat throughtout the game until that clock hits 0

I think Chiefs won't be able to prevent it from happening. The comeback is gonna happen at least to an extent that it looks scary and at some point looks like a Colts win may be on the way. Your opinion is totally valid the only problem is I think you're too cocky, that's why you're getting backlash on this forum.
GL nevertheless, let's just enjoy the game together =)

Ninja it's definitely possible, but in that case why not wait for a 2H play on Colts, if you're expecting them to go down big early on?

I am just curious(I don't watch TV)but before the wild card games were played last weekend...how did the media sound last week in regards to the dogs? You have to notice many times they are forced to hype winning teams as they know they will get a lot of people who purposely fade whatvee they hype

Chiefs ML is the play I'm betting. If Colts get out the 1st quarter tied or in the lead, I think they win the game SU. But I think Chiefs jump to a great start, forcing Colts in more aggressive/pass rushing situations in the 2nd half, allowing the pass rushers to do their thing.
