Hola! I started the season yesterday after following a few of my favorite cappers until I felt like the season was settling in, and I got off to a 3-0-1 smokin' hot start!
I've only got two picks... I'll also be tailing LeagueCapper if he's got any picks today unless they contradict my own, as I have a deep admiration and respect for what he does.
Lakers -2.5 2X
I like the Lakers in this spot for a few reasons. Firstly, we've got a two factor reason for a bounce back from their terrible performance in their last game against the Wizards when John Wall went off on them, racking up 30 points before the half. The Sunday game was the second of a back-to-back for the Lakers, and you could tell once Wall put it on them, they didn't have the energy or determination to keep up, and they let it go. Now, coming off a much needed days rest, the Lakers will play a Nets team that, let's be honest, has overperformed so far this season, which is saying a lot for a team with a losing record. They're coming off four straught wins, and I'll take the law of averages along with the greatest player in the world, and I'll give up 2.5 points.
Wizards -3 5X
Is there a more streaky team in the NBA than the Wizards? When they're bad, they're bad, but when they get production from their backcourt, just like the Trail Blazers, it's difficult for any team to hang with them. Same coast travel, a days rest, and Wall being on fire in the previous game tells me all I need to know to take the Wizards against a deplorable Hawks team that can only win when they get production from all three players simultaneously, Young, Bazemore and Collins. Wall struggled all year, and it was easy to tell that when he entered the season after getting paid on the back of a new contract, that conditioning wasn't all that important to him. The seasons in full swing now though, he had first truly dominant performance of the year, and this will be the start of the Wizards climbing back into the 3-6 spot of the Easter Conference playoff race.

Rough night, 1-4. -10X. Watching the Wizards fall apart late was brutal. No inside defense, I mean they literally just let the hawks drive to the rim uncontested over and over and over. Nets keep winning, longest winning streak in like 15 years. Oh well, we'll get some back tomorrow!

First three minutes of the fourth quarter in the Lakers game was nearly scoreless and we lose the second half over by 4 points. Nets also hit two threes in the final 40 seconds to crush the second half laker cover as well. Just one of those nights. 8x swing right there.
