Assume the same number of LA watchers this year vs last.
Assume that Boston and Houston have the same % of people who watch MLB.
Boston population is 685,000
Houston population is 2.3 million.
Just knowing that...I would've expected last years game one viewership to be even higher than this years.

I never thought about it like that but in my case it is true. One of the few reasons I ever watched the Colts was Manning and a couple other I liked. Hated the thug Seahawk team as many did...

"Boston population is 685,000
Houston population is 2.3 million"
Those are skewed numbers. A correct correlation would be to compare Boston "metro" area with Houston "metro" area. Also the Red Sox have a fan base that includes the entire area of all New England. Considering those facts the fan base numbers of these two teams are probably very close.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of guys swing, miss, and strikeout.... I’d just go out for a night at the local watering hole lol. But seriously..... I’m huge baseball brat. And at its core. It’s the best sport there is imo. But recent trends (launch angle, the disappearance of sac bunts/stealing) have taken a lot of what makes baseball, well baseball away. It’s sad, but the sport is deteriorating right before our eyes

Doesn't matter the population of Hou vs Bos. Boston fans outnumber Houston fans 10-1 in the country. Like are a whole lot more Sox fans than Astros fans.

Results for game 2 are out and it's no better. Down 10 % from game 2 last year and on track for the lowest rated WS since 2014. I guess those Fox honchos are wishing the Brewers were in instead of the high powered Dodgers.
