Point #8) the teams(including other sports) rarely ever win the championship.

I have better numbers coming in for LA in game 1 so the whole series is unknown. But game 1 will shock everyone which is what I think happens because Boston's nut huggers are out in full force on this game 1.
I have to think LA is GLAD to face Boston pitching from what they have been seeing with Milw.

I have been Kimbrel's biggest critic this post-season. There has been some talk that they are hitting him hard because he is "tipping his pitches" which they found out late in the Houston series. He still has to come off of "Wild Thing" status tho or LA is just going to take on you if you arent throwing strikes and have a rep for being wild.

Motivation doesnt apply here, that statement is moronic. Saying the dodgers have two aces is hilarious to me. What is an ace in the playoffs? Theres only a few guys that can even qualify. Bumgarner, verlander, lester... kershaw doesnt belong. This walker kid is good but he will have to face a much better lineup than that milwaukee team. Boston will be glad to go to LA even tho pitchers have to hit. That ballpark is so much easier to pitch in. Boston has no holes in their lineup they can hit for power or contact.

People keep saying bostons bulpen isnt good but they pitched well against a tough lineup/team in a small park. Kimbrel i will give you has been bad i can for sure see him losing a game. Jensen is much better than him. To me the dodgers starting pitching is good just not good enough to shut down this lineup. Line is way too low for dodgers to have value they need to be +160 at least.

I usually like dogs in the playoffs but this team is worse than last years team. The line being low is the only thing i can see that has me in doubt. Boston with homefield only opens at -130 and they just beat the mighty astros.

What I am trying to figure out is.... is the home field advantage in WS a factor considering there is going to be a better mix of LA fans in the crowd for this?
Normal reg season game ...prolly not that many LA fans travel unless it is a close park but WS it has to be a vacation week LA fans have planned.
Fan enthusiasm can have a slight effect in MLB but not like other sports.
In NBA...usually cheering fans will get the home team charged up to play better D. How do you play better D in baseball when the ball might not come your way for an inning or two? The "immediate effect" of fan entusiasm is not there in MLB.
In NFL...the fans can screw up an opposing QB just by sheer noise. Plus cheering fans can get a player amped up on D and make an immediate play whereas MLB the ball might not even come your way.

Boston backers better layoff the colon cleanse the first game, because I have a feeling they won't need it.

Heres the facts. The Sox have been the best team in baseball ALL YEAR. Theyre coming off one of the best regular seasons in clubs history. They have been CONSISTENTLY winning all year. All this talk and bashing of their pitching is ridiculous. We get it its not the best anyones ever seen, but it was damn good enough to beat the Yanks and Stros. (both 100 win teams and better than Dodgers). Dodgers beat Braves and Brewers -_-. c'mon son. And shame on you for sayin sox have "barely one ace". Sale is a stud. and Ricky would be an Ace on at least 1/2 teams in MLB. lol
You go ahead and lay your cabbage on a squad that will win because its their 30th anniversary? lol Sox world series champs kid. Grab em now before they win game 1 and youre payin 2.5 to 1.

I think if Kershaw is on he is better. Why? Because Sale has his pitch velo too close together.
When Kershaw is dropping the 20 MPH slower curveball in for STRIKES. He is not hittable.
I dont remember what game it was when the MLB post-show guys were talking about why the thought the HR happened.
They showed the pitchers fastball pitches and the change-up speeds. It was something like this:
pitch 1 fastball--- 95
pitch 2 fastball -95
pitch 3 slider---88....which was pulled and went for a HR. When you set up a hitter like that with a slower pitch you dont want it inside especially if he was already behind on your fastball.
The pitcher who is the most unpredictable WHILE still throwing strikes will prevent himself from being barreled up.
I give that nod to Kershaw.
I would normally give a nod to the team who can play small ball. But...with these shifts it is taking hits away from small ball teams. Milwaukee played small ball real good in game 6 but it is hard(er) to do that. Many of those hits could have been taken away. HR's eliminate that chance of course.
