I've been female-dogging about Hurts' complete inability to play the QB position for about a year and a half now, and this video demonstrates that very clearly.

Its not like Jalen cant play QB
Career REC 27-2
COMP Rate 62%
TD/INT ratio 40/10
Maybe he is not as good as Tua but saying "complete inability to play the QB position" is a little harsh.

He is probably the worst QB in the FBS. I don't know if he can play another position, but we do know beyond any and all doubt that he's NOT a QB. At this point it looks like the only reason he was playing QB at the high school level is because his dad was the coach.
Regardless, my opinion or yours, we'll find out soon enough. It's pretty much a lock at this point that Jalen will transfer after he graduates in December. Let's see where he goes, and if he can win the starting QB position at his new school. Personally, I think there is almost no chance that that he can beat out any QB who can fog a mirror. I think the Georgia national championship will be the last game he starts under center for a major college program.

I have tremendous for Jeremy Pruitt. Fantastic defensive mind, and great recruiter. He was at Alabama last season, and had a front-row seat to the Jalen Hurts abortion. I certainly could be wrong, but I can't even imagine that Pruitt would even have the slightest interest in Hurts. Would be a complete waste of a roster spot.

Hurts benefited from having a tremendous team around him and he has never been as good as his record but you could say about every QB for Bama under Saban. Too much talk is being wasted about the QB position for Alabama when the offense year in and year out runs the ball on 60% of their snaps.

Their schedule is quite favorable this year so it shouldn't be a problem with either one but c'mon Hurts is anything but a QB. Why wouldn't he want a year at another position to get ready for the next level?? Zero chance that he gets drafted as a qb. Doesn't make sense to me. The tide would not have come back in the NC game if not for Tua. Love the way Hurts handled the benching during the game and seems like a quality human but this ain't about all that.
Also, I'm not saying Hurts lost the iron bowl but...did Stidham actually win that game?

I am interested to know Jalen’s mindset at this point. After starting for two years, does he think he will get meaningful reps in games? Is he even going to try? Or has he mentally packed it in once Tua is named starter and bides his time until transfer? Imponderables perhaps but relevant to the team’s performance should Saban decide to play him significantly and of course should Tua get injured.
Jalen will land somewhere and play qb if that is what he wants. At the D1 level he is a legitimate dual threat who stretches defenses with his legs, takes care of the football, and hits over 60% of his passes without forcing too many throws or throwing too many picks. There is a place for him if that is what he wants. But he should hopefully see what the rest of the world knows and especially in the NFL; his future in the league, if he is to have one, is at a position other than QB.

I agree 100%, and have been saying the same thing for about 6 or 7 months now. He would be a monster in the triple option. Other than that, he'll be hard-pressed to win a starting gig at any other respectable DI school.

I have broken down every throw Hurt's made in his collegiate career, and it would be hard to imagine that there is another DI QB worse than Hurts. There may be one, but I certainly can't think of who that would be. The guy is playing QB for one reason, and one reason only: his dad was the coach. That's the only rational explaination because, other than his physical dimensions, he has no aptitude to play the position either mentally or physically. And he landed in Tuscaloosa and became the starting QB due soley to the efforts of Lane Kiffin.
Nevertheless, the fact that Saban has heretofore won a lot of games and championships with largely inept QB play, save for AJ McCarron, doesn't mean that having sh*tty QB play is something that should be strived for. So a future 1st round draft pick and NFL star should ride the the bench so offensive superstars can continue to have their NFL dreams ruined by this fraud? This entire so-called QB competition is complete sham.
Tua will obviously be the QB (there would probably be a team revolt if he's not - just like there was at halftime of the Georgia game), and he is going to show the world what a stacked Alabama team looks like with an elite QB under center. Not only will Alabama not lose a single game with Tua under center EVER, no one may even stay within double digits of them. Like it or not, Alabama and Tua are about to make a mockery of college football for the next two seasons. If you haven't already placed a max bet on Tua to win the Heisman, do it now!
