Jameson Taillon throws 95 MPH on average when he throws his four seam fastball. Taillon pitched 8 innings and allowed 0 runs in St. Louis 3 starts ago. Since then he's pitched ok giving up 3 runs in 5 innings and 2 runs in 7 innings. His record overall seems to support the idea he will last at least 6 innings if not more against the Brewers who have hit an offensive slump. Yesterday, the Brewers had a sub par performing pitcher and made him look like Cy Young. Today it gets tougher. Also, Chacin for the Brewers pitched well yesterday, and Hadr gave up the go ahead run, though officially it counts on Chacin's record. Today, Fred Peralta, a mere rookie will try to even the score for the Brewers in this series at 1-1. I don't see that happening. Peralta is not going to last more than 5 innings and that will require a monumental effort of energy with positive results from the Brewer bullpen. Not sure what to make of Travis Shaw's hurt wrist either. Pirates take this series by winning today and going up 2-0 in this series. Obviously the Pirates are ready to win since they lost 8 straight series before winning the Cincinatti series before the Brewers.
