Tua is the reason Alabama probably won't lose a game, and the reason Alabama will probably cover a lot of spreads this season.
Foe example, if Hurts were the QB (and saying that he's a QB is a very loose use of the term QB) taking Louisville +31 would be a no-brainer. But with Tua, Alabama's offense will routinely score 50+ points, so laying the 31 actually makes sense.

Bama is favored by 25.5 I assume you think they blow them out? I like what i saw from TUA and he looks like he will be a good college Qb for them..

If you're a high roller it's worth it. Don't listen to the above responses. I'm pretty spot on when it comes to futures that I feel strongly about and this is one of them. Last year I loved the Pats to win AFC at 2 to 1 and Bama at 3 to 1. This Bama team has an easy schedule this year. Really no tough road games. Honestly though the SEC just can't compete with them outside of Georgia. They got road games at LSU and Texas AM, but those teams just don't match up. So they're a lock to get to the playoff.
Once in the playoff, you're looking at probably Penn St, FSU or Clemson, and Georgia. Mich or Ohio St could get in also as they have round robin home and roads. Anyone who goes 2-0 in those games will get in. But regardless the best teams that got a chance are Georgia and Clemson. Clemson I give a chance just based on defense. If they figure out the O this year then maybe, but I just don't think that QB is that good.
The bottom line is Bama has won like 5 titles the past 10 years or so with average to poor QB play. The guy they got this year runs like Deshaun Watson and has a rocket arm. They're gonna put up a ton of points and when you combine that with that defense it's a major uphill climb for them to win. Now, you can argue their D will be overrated this year. But let's be honest, an overrated Bama D will still be better than anyone else's D and they will have the best running game easily and a passer who's good in the clutch and can actually throw well from the pocket.
With Hurts starting I would be so so on this. I'd still like them to get into the playoff easily. Once in the playoff, they would still handle any Big Ten winner in my opinion because no teams in that conference match up well with them in addition to any possible winner from a soft Big 12 or Pac 12 as well as FSU as they don't match up with Bama either. Way I look at it there are only 2 teams with respectable shots to beat them even if Hurts played QB which he won't.
I think it will be a Bama Georgia rematch in all likelihood and they'll have the edge again with Tua at QB. For me it's like you're getting 2 to 1 on them beating Georgia in the title. Gotta take those odds. I mentioned Clemson having a shot as well ... but they just looked totally different with Bryant at QB vs Watson. I mean look at what Watson did in the NFL his first year. He wasn't given enough credit at Clemson and now Bryant just hasn't shown he can throw that well from the pocket (against good defenses at least).
Back up the truck on the 2-1. There is value with Bama at even money honestly. This QB they got is really good. The only above average QB they've had in 10 years and he isn't just above average he's gonna be a serious Heisman contender. Bama should be -140 to win this year. I know people look at that and laugh, but it's not funny when you actually break down all the other teams and who can contend. And when you do that you basically get Georgia. Sorry, but FSU, OSU, Mich are overrated every year. Penn St is a nice team, but they were overrated on defense last year and I don't see enough D although they are one of the few teams out there who can score on Bama. The bottom line is these other teams have major flaws in terms of matchups.

But yeah the other thing I want to add is this guy has pretty good accuracy and can read defenses so they can play a non gimmicky offensive style now. With Hurts at QB, their offense was really gimmicky and limited. They relied a ton on running and rollouts. They couldn't drop back and throw. They had so much talent on the O line though that they could still push around most teams and just grind you down with the D. But this guy can drop back and throw. He reads defenses better, has a strong arm, can hit open receivers, and easily break out for a 40 yard run if he gets space as he runs like a Watson. So the offense is just gonna be so much better. That's why the 2 to 1 odds are very generous. Again, the posters who tell you it's not good enough value aren't critically thinking about how other teams match up with them. Go through all the teams and look how they match up O vs D and vice versa. They all have major deficiencies in terms of matchups except for maybe Georgia, but in a Georgia matchup what it comes down to is Bama will score more points on Georgia's D than Georgia will on Bama - mostly due to a better running attack as Bama has a QB option they can use really effectively and also due to the fact that they got a QB who can scramble really well and make it hard on the defense even if the secondary is good in coverage.
