How about dis-infatuated with Manaea? 5 straight quality starts to begin the season (including a no-hitter), average performance rating 83.0. Since then, 1-6, 50.8. Something is wrong and either he and/or the A's are hiding it. Maybe injury, maybe mechanics, maybe personal, but this boy just ain't right.

Pardon me tony, that was 6 straight to start the season, 83.0, including the no-hitter and a great follow up game, so don't fall back on the "they always fall off after a no-hitter". Ain't true either. I had him in both.

Key...agree that some trends are meaningless, but some are useful. When a team has won 4 or more in a row just on principle I will not bet against them until they lose.I am sure the Books are not loving the guys that have kept betting on the Cards every time they have played the Reds the past 12 games.+1.70 is well worth it on the Royals today.....on that I agree! BOL!!!
Well, regarding trends. I do think there is a little ore validity in foots or buckets, where the rosters were probably close to the same the last couple years, but baseball is so pitching oriented that without considering that aspect of each game, much less so Either way, books do love trend players as so little remains the same from game to game.
