to be fair, you need to be able to delineate between "excuse" and "reason"...a busted hand is a perfectly legitimate REASON for playing at a lesser standard..not sure how you can not realise this.

I call bs on this report...in todays gambling world, knowledge like this is priceless and the betting public and sharps should be required to know of any injury like this before game 2, which would severely impact the line...can you imagine a world where something like this was kept secret, caused millions of dollars to sway one way for people who didnt know vs millions for the ones that did? (Ie insider trading info)...then that would open the league to a class action lawsuit for denying the public relevant info...just like the NFL is required to be upfront about injuries, something like this would be a severe coverup scandal, especially when we are talking about the NBA where only 8 guys typically play in a game whereas NFL dress 50+....what if Brady had a broken hand but still played, and no one told us, that would be the story/betting scandal of the year for the insiders betting with knowledge we didnt have....and the NBA wants an "integrity tax" on gambling now? Oh man, i dont like this one bit if indeed Fatnorst is correct with this story, or is just looking for some offseason clickbait to land him a better job elsewhere.

Lets also look at all the high fives, butt slaps, fist pumps he gave thru the entire series with his right hand...zero chance he had a broken right hand...maybe a pinky hangnail i will believe, he did seem to carry that handbag a bit funny when he stormed off in those suit shorts.
