J.R was very blunt about what it is to be Lebron’s supporting cast. Cavs win, all praise to LBJ. Cavs lose, Lebron’s got no help. There’s no doubting his talent (probably the best we’ve ever seen all around) but body language tells a lot about leadership as wel, which is something Lebron can attempt to do better because “I don’t throw my teammates under the bus” is completely false. It ain’t easy playing alongside Lebron, just ask Kyrie.

Al bundy? I don’t see any superstars dieing to join lebron in Cleveland? He went too Miami? -who wants to play with a guy that never accepts defeat and will always blame teammates when losing
Rodney Hood averaged 17ppg on a good Utah team. Now he's an afterthought. He had a good gig, now Lebron keeps him behind his boys and the dudes career could be shot

Exactly... the sequence last night where Lebron lobbed a turnover into the lane, then stayed behind half court while his teammates allowed a McGee dunk. Then on ensuing offensive possession he stood in the corner near the bench bent over while the ball moved on the opposite side, then when the shot clock was winding Hill or Green looked in the corner and Lebron kinda just looked back like "I'm not doing anything"

Touché BWS! That play where he stood in the corner was a prime example - and it’s not the first time it’s been done. It’s almost as if he’s wishing the offense screws up just to prove a point to the “public eye” how his cast is bad.

Just a wrong era for LBJ to be in sucks for him. The Warriors and Spurs were just a better team than his. 7 out of 9 Finals were against those teams.. imagine if he didnt play them. He might have had 5 rings already.

This is one of the NBA's biggest mysteries. it really baffles me.
1. Lebron makes the right basketball play...whether it be a pass, shoot or whatever.
2. Lebron has been in a SUPERTEAM for 8 straight years.
3. Yet, the criticism has always been whether or not Lebron will have enough help...
I don't know... it seems hard to believe, but...does Lebron actually makes his team mates worse despite making the right basketball plays? we all know how good wade and bosh were before the Miami superteam. we all know how good Kevin Love was before going to cavs. same thing with rodney hood, clarkson, hill, nance... they all got worse after teaming up with lebron.

ahh yes, this seems to be lebron's dark side. He either wills his team to win, or sabotages everyone else. Of course his team mates are always out of rhythm. Lebron either dribbles the ball for 20 seconds and gives a pass to an out of rhythm team mate, or he doesn't touch it at all and watch his team mates go 4v5.

The same sort of intimidation that the young Celtics ran into in the last 2 games of the ECF also works the same on Lebron's teammates. It's all mental... if ANY other team only scored 87 against Boston in Game 7, the Celtics are in the Finals. But the manufactured aura that these younger guys see in James scares them. It works on his own team also... 'don't mess up', 'don't be in the wrong spot', 'don't make Lebron look bad cuz he gonna call you out on the court'.
This is exactly why Philadelphia needs to pump the breaks on the talk of bringing him there. Even the THOUGHT of it has to strike some fear into the players on the roster.

Great point. And many of his passes on these 'open looks' have been errant. Saw many last night where someone was in a good catch and shoot position but James wild pass forced them to reach to the side or bend down to receive it and get out of their spot

Lebron on the verge of losing 6 finals? It’s never his fault? - he’s lucky the east been garbage most of his career? Besides the kg/Ray Allen/pierce Boston days

Sorry, but LBJ showed nothing but RESPECT for his teammates (JR at the top of the list) after that bungled game one ending. His post game press conference was a 10 out of 10 in regard to his professionalism. He had the opportunity to throw JR under the bus and did not.
Please excuse Lebron for his facial expression in the moment as JR dribbled out the clock. I would have done a lot worse. How about you? I respect Lebron more than I ever have. He is carving out his place as the greatest, like it or not. As a previous poster noted, he has played super-team, dynasty-type teams in 7 of 9 finals.
As a final note, why do all the Golden State players get the call when the lean in on a 3 or drive the lane, yet Lebron gets whacked continuously with no call?
Back to the OP. Yes, I feel sorry for LBJ. He deserves more from his teammates and the officials.

Lebron have definitely beating the odds? Grew up with a crack head mom- no dad? You never hear anything bad about him besides his politics views - oh but the guy is definitely a DIVA

I feel sorry for the bench/role players....Hood averaged 17PPG in Utah...Clarkson 14PPG for the Fakers.....Jae Crowder...He was a dud w/the Cavs but played really well for the Jazz. IT..took all the blame while in Cleveland...Came to the Fakers and was putting up decent numbers before he got injured. Why is it most players decline while playing with James?

You must have missed the entire Boston series where the announcers were commenting on the collective eye-rolling of the Cavs on the court when something goes wrong. So yeah, in a press conference he says the right thing but on the court (where everyone sees it) it's a different story.
As for him not getting calls... He CONSTANTLY backs people down while extending his arm or elbow into the defender to create space. He gets plenty of leeway on his offensive moves.
You should hear the local yokels on Cleveland news today... saying how unfair the officiating has been. Not one person failed to research Game 2 where Warriors were whistled for 25 fouls to the Cavs 15

He's had a super team in all 8 years in the finals.....Injuries aside in 2015...a Lineup of LBJ/Wade/Bosh....& LBJ/Kyrie/Love should have been able to compete with any team in the league and win the title every year. The fact that LBJ is 3-5 in the Finals says it all. Every year got to the Finals with ease in the EC. Does he need a 4th All Star? The reason why Dubs are so good is because they play as a team and Curry & KD know there roles... If and when LBJ goes to the Rockets..it will not be smooth sailing.....You think James Frauden will take a back seat to LBJ? Can you imagine Frauden playing without the ball?

Could not have said it better. We have a few babies in this thread that allow personal bias to get in the way of understanding how good lebron is. It’s pathetic. We got guys like curry who sit games out and when he comes back and has a bad game, the excuses pile up, he allows them to yet he’s been ok the whole time. You hear lebron make any excuses? Nope. Not this year. People act like he was the one who got rid of kyrie? Really? People need to look a bit further and understand why kyrie was let go and most importantly who was at the head of it. Back to curry: Curry gets a free pass. Always has. We got guys like Durant who because he couldn’t beat the best, decided to JOIN the best. In all my years of watching sports, this was the weakest move ever. What a clown. He gets a free pass though. We got guys like Draymond who is a big fat baby yet he gets a free pass. It’s hilarious to me how some of the dingleberries in this thread refuse to address these clowns I mention above yet they focus on the guy who has played EVERY game this year, averages a triple double, hits two game winners in the playoffs, 8 40 plus point games, averages the most minutes. Are people dumb? Let’s wirship the ground of a 170 pound point guard who showboats every play and dresses up in a leather jacket on commercials to try and convince he’s not going through puberty. It cracks me up.

i have been a long supporter this season of this supporting cast lebron had to deal with this campaign, and do not even start with he had help in the 3rd quarter........ dude is it not too late by then?!?! watching this cavs team in the finals is an abomination in my opinion.

Clueless....again. “The reason why the dubs are so good is because they play like a team”. Yes, correct so think about that for a minute. This is what you say YET you penalize lebron for being the entire Cavs team who has nothing around him? You don’t get it do you? You are supporting a team that has Kevin Durant on it. Do I need to remind you of what route this weak pos took to get his title? You act as if the dubs win more championships without Durant. They don’t. You want to blame the personnel on lebron? Brotha, you need to wake up. He wasn’t the one who made the personnel moves. He wanted PG13, he wanted Deandre, he wanted to keep Kyrie yet you think he’s the one that wants Tristan and JR on his team? You think he wants Kevin love on that team? You fail to give this guy any credit when it comes to b-ball IQ. You think he wants Lue as his coach? Yet, you believe the guy has all the control in the world. There is a big difference between the dubs and the Cavs. It starts in the front office. Their owner, their gm and their coach are all top notch and even with that, you ever hear lebron complain about what he doesn’t have? Please give me an example this year with all the bs that has gone on in Cleveland to where he threw anybody under the bus. You won’t find it. Sure he’s 3-5 in the finals and as an MJ fan, he’ll never get to his level but to denounce what this guy has done over the last 8 years....is it yourciack of b-ball knowledge, your hate for the guy that gets in the way of common sense....or both? I will end this like this: you give lebron a pippen, a Rodman, a SYSTEM and a coach, he wins as many titles as MJ. Plain and simple. He could have stayed in Miami but he sacrificed more rings to do the RIGHT thing and go back to Cleveland even though he plays for a closet racist owner and a weak franchise. But hey....you wanna support a guy like Durant who had the mentality “of ya can’t beat em, join em”. It says it all man
