Here we are in the slowest part of the year waiting for September.
So figured I would look back at last year's games that were "I didn't see that coming".
Most of mine are in the Big10 with the exception of Virginia over Boise State.
Here are my top 5;
#5. Penn State 42, Michigan 13. Ok, no upset here. Expected a 7-14 point lose but wow, Penn State took it out in revenge mode in the second half. McSorley dropping those lop passes to big receivers on the sidelines over and over again. That top 5 Michigan defense shreaded.
#4 Virginia 42, at Boise State 23. I remember a lot of conversation here whether Boise would cover the -13. Not even close! Virginia would go 3-6 the rest of way while Boise goes 9-1.
#3 Arizona State 13, Washington 7. So Washington in the first six games scores 30, 63, 48. 37, 42, and 35 points while Ari St has given up 31, 30, 52, 35, and 34 in their first five. How the hell does Washington only score 7 late in the forth quarter???
#2 Maryland 51 at Texas 41. What a way to start the season with a big upset. Who saw Texas giving up 51 to a lowly Big10 team?
#1 Iowa 55 Ohio State 24. It was sandwich game you say. Well your right, it was but how the hell does Iowa score 55 on the top Big10 team when they only mustered 17 the week before play Minnesota and 10 before that at Northwestern in a OT game!

JT Barrett completing 16 straight passes or whatever it was and beating Penn State is my #1
It was the week before the Iowa game. Barrett was 13 for 13, 170 yards and three td's in the forth quarter. A big comeback win! The Ohio State win didn't surprise me, but yes, the way they did it!!
