Enjoy 1993 Canada you will never sip from lord Stanley's Cup ever again. 25 years and counting. Thanks NHL it's so refreshing to have a team that's been thru the wars and waited as long as Vegas to finally win it! What a great storybook ending. Can't wait for the movie to come out also starring Jean claude van dame as Fleury.

I sipped from the Cup in the summer of 2013 at the Blue Goose Tavern in the west end of Toronto. Dave Bolland brought the Stanley Cup there after scoring the Cup winning goal to beat the Bruins. I sat beside Dave Bolland and sipped beer out of the Cup with Brendan Shanahan just a few feet away. I am Canadian and this took place in Canada. Cheers!
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

In hindsight Winnipeg never really had a chance because they have too many Americans on their team so they were bound to choke.....
The Leafs will regress next season, forget about them, Anderson will get torched next season and this so will the defenseless team in front of him
Having a little fun here, I like the Jets team a lot, unfortunately for those young men they are representing a Canadian franchise and winning is not permitted.

. This is sad but true, is a country being taken advantage of? It appears so,I have listened to the gospel of danger and company.not only does it fit I now believe if you could not recognize it this year you are totally blind, I was blind but now I find it impossible not to see it.makes it difficult following a small market team.we were giving a gift, no longer do we have to go to the city to see a hockey game. We have something to root for. But as usual one must pay to gain in this life.unfortunlly the founder of what I consider the best sport on the face of the earth pays the most. Example would be a new team for Canada people might change to root for the home team but will not make a difference in how many fans follow,it almost makes me want to root for the leafs, almost

I was cut off, unreal! Lol of unfortunately Canadian die hards getting spit on by Gary smuckface if your remember the game changed instantly when taken over. It was the nba that would stick up. For their team.game has lost some heart hope one day another change is made I like Ziegler ( I know I spelled this wrong) another gross inappropriate symbol of the best game on face of the earth. If you pay attention you will no longer be blind Winnipeg would be a deserving fan base to win the cup. And like the broad street bullies of the 70’s heart would be necessary to go the distance, sad but true!

Last Friday I sipped rufie-laced VGK branded Cabernet from the Cup (yes, it was in town for a visit, courtesy of the folks at NBC) in Wayne Newton's red convertible on the way to Floyd Mayweather's Strip Club, escorted by the "Girls, Girls, Girls (702) GET-LAID" moving billboard.....

Sounds like quite the life. This was nothing like that. The Blue Goose is a very old and very modest sports tavern located in Mimico, an old waterfront area in the west end of Toronto where I was living during both of the Hawks's first two modern day Cup wins, Bolland brought the Cup there both times and I went both times as the pub was located less than 100 yards from my doorstep and I was there regularly. Shanahan also brought the cup to the Goose when he won it so three parties have taken place there with Lord Stanley Present and beer gets sipped from it at those times by the regulars. Shanahan and Bolland are both from the area and grew up playing hockey there. Their photos are all over the old sports pub along with many other old sports memorabilia. Bolland's brother to this day lives within walking distance and is there at least once a week, I know him to speak to him and have a beer. Sorry if this is too much for you to digest. The place was full and the regulars were all there and I was one of them. In the past in this very forum when I was living there I used to post from right in the pub and announce that I was there. In fact the very night the Hawks defeated the Bruins in the game six I created a thread title in this forum Live From The Blue Goose Tavern as I ate my big late breakfast there and they won later that same night. You really are a complete troll eh?
