class act all the way...he volunteered his time on VSiN since they went on the air...sadly these searches rarely end well.

That's how my late brother dies. He was just 18 years old, a freshman at Chico State. I was 21
I don't know about you guys, but between 18 and 21, I did a lot of "growing up", if you know what I mean...

Accidental slip and fall when hiking alone is more common than we will ever know...i got to know Dave around the time i began posting here on covers...he was one of their "experts", and i essentially became email friends with him shortly after my initial hot streak of college hoops capping here...i reached out to him asking him a few questions about the handicapping profession as a whole, and he was more than kind and generous with his time to help me with my inquiries. Over the years we became friends and facetimed each other atleast once a month to discuss our own unique angles. He was a true mentor at first, but ended up as a true friend. We are all better people for listening to his podcasts and spots on VSiN over the past year, and he will be sorely missed by the ones who personally knew him and called him friend.
