I took fsu before the tourney started at 200-1. I placed $100 on them so $20,000 would be the walk away. I'd like to lock in a couple grand profit from my measly $100 bet.
What options would you suggest? My book has Michigan at -200 right now.
If FSU wins I am going to venture that they are favorites in the next round so I'd be able to get some + money on the dog. So I don't mind l laying that -200 if I'm getting +150 next round on Loyola or k state.
I really like this team. They are like junkyard dogs. No 5 starts like years past. They press, they are the most athletic team remaining, 11 deep, don't care about foul trouble. No one really plays like them.
Really think they blow the doors off this Michigan team tomorrow, but I can check my ego at the door. no one ever goes broke taking profits and I am prepared to do that. just wanted some input.

You would never forgive yourself if you didn't lay off some. If FSU wins I think the line would be close to a pick. Michigan is 6-1 to win it all so why not put something on them and something on Michigan at the ML. Michigan would obviously be the favorite against Loyola or Kansas St so then you could try to lay off and middle the next game.
For example, bet 5k on Michigan to win 30k. If FSU wins you win 15k still, if they get beat you can then bet KST/Loyola. I am guessing KST/Loyola will be getting 5ish so bet them for 10k. PRAY Michigan wins but does not cover and you win the 10k plus still have Michigan in the Championship. Then play whoever comes out that side, the line shouldn't be too high.
Obviously plug in your own numbers but don't get too greedy on FSU, I am a Miami fan so have seen them play quite a few games and was not impressed. They do have a great coach :) Hell of a job playing that at 200 to 1 by the way!!! You could always play your football team at 33-1 with some of the winnings, just put a few bills on THE U at 30-1 haha.

This was me last night and clemson 150/1. If you think fsu wins id do 2k to win 1k. If you think itll be close or a mich win id do 4 to win 2. Id also be all over the live line and hope fsu jumps up early and you can get mich +5-7 and hit both.
Unfortunately with clemson last night i never got the 2nd option.

Matt3173 you used the term "lay off" incorrectly I can see why you are a Rookie
Hahaha Come on Sunshine please be kind on all these forum stuff :) I found hidden meening in your post, well sorta. I can't decide between the 2 choices bc either could fit, please help me!
I may of said something in a earlier post that just gosh darn hurt your feelings and pride Sunshine. Probably a safe bet with me but the other seems choice too.
I read you after a few posts so let me see how I did Sunshine!! Average EVERYTHING 41 - 6 ft - 206 Street smart to an extent butt book smart two. You not graduating first of your classes but top 10%. Nice family and wife that is cute in a plain way. Damn it, I honestly have nothing bad to say. Hell nothing good either but oh well.
You are worried about your status level and stars. I honestly had zero clue why you called me a rookie for a good 5 minutes haha. The forums are much more important to you than average folk, you think about them throughout the day. Huge source of anxiety, not losing money gambling but looking "dumb" with bad advice. You think people depend or value your comments.
AND PLEASE tell me why my advice was ignorant?? Lets make this eazy and say he just put 1k on Michigan ok. So he wins 6k if Michigan wins it all. I am not including the juice bc this is just a scenario. 1. Play $500 on Loyola ML to about double it. Play Loyola +5 (hmm kind of looks like what I said originally huh) and hope to middle. Loyola wins you hit 1.5kish. Mich wins you still have 5k.
2. Championship game play Kan/Vil ML. I am guessing it will cost 2k to win 1k. If Vill/Kan win then you win a grand. If Michigan wins you win $2,950.
I will now become one of the many gambliners that follow you if that is ok? Damn you just took 5 minutes I will never get back in life haha.
