This team is playing very, very well. No, this is not an overreaction statement because they have been hot but I think the addition of Kane was a massive pickup for this team and was a necessity. They weren't very strong offensively for most of the year, but since the Kane acquisition they have been rolling. Their defense is excellent, they are extremely physical, aggressive and have one of the best PK's in the league. They also have a goalie who can stand on his head in Jones. They are a very live Dark Horse to win the cup. And yes, they do have a shot against the Preds for all you naysayers.

Vinnybet I didn't say they had the best team in the West but in my opinion only the Preds and Jets are better than them, and they would be a very difficult matchup for both of those teams. Kane fills a lot of holes that team had on offense and they have a very solid defense. They will be very dangerous come playoff time.

I'm a Sharks season ticket holder. They are definitely legit and you are right, the Kane addition has completely taken their offense to another level. It's crazy how one guy can change the look of their O, but he has done that.
They have a great 3rd line and decent 4th line. They have maybe the best defensive player in the game in Burns and not just a solid goalie, but a very capable backup in Dell. I believe their PK is currently 2nd best in the league.
If I'm the Preds, the Sharks are the last team I would want to run into.
I'm super excited for the playoffs and can't wait to get out to SAP center. Don't sleep on the Sharks!

In my opinion he is definitely in the top 10 in the league, I wasn't necessarily going by metrics, but I've seen him enough to know that the guy is a very good netminder. He has a 2.47 GAA .917% to go with 4 shutouts. Pretty solid numbers. You think he's outside the top 10?

Those are middle of the pack numbers. What kind of numbers do you think he'd have if he didnt have the team that he has in front of him? I dont really pay attention the GAA. I think Sv % percentage is a better indicator when it comes to goaltending stats. Im not saying hes terrible,i just dont see him being all that consistent. There are definitely 10 better goalies we could easily name and some of them have better numbers than jones and playing on bottom 10 teams.

Like I said though I wasn't basing my opinion off of numbers because if that were the case then Grubauer is top 10, and I'm definitely not so sure about that. I've seen Jones plenty enough to know that I wouldn't argue having him as my goaltender. You are right though, his numbers aren't as strong as years prior, but I think he's top 10 off of what I've seen over the last few years (and this year despite the drop in numbers)

I'm curious how easily you could name a list then. You can write off everybody in the Metro and Atlantic other than Bobrovski, Rask Vasilevskiy, and what maybe possibly Anderson? Anderson is waay too inconsistent to be on my top 10 even though he does have tremendous talent. What's your 10?

Raanta belongs on that list* watched him play with the Rangers and i was very unhappy when they moved him. But anyway, Jones is right there in my opinion

I can't put Holtby or Price on there considering how awful of a year they are having. If we're talking career wise then absolutely but I'm talking about right now. Same goes for Lundqvist. He's past his prime but I will say that his numbers are very misleading because of how bad the Rangers have been. And I don't think it was an accident that I skipped over Quick, the fukkin guy burns me everytime I need him to come through but yes, he does belong on that lost as well.

Jets have zero chance winning the Cup! LOLWhen's the last time a Canadian team won? 1993!Call it the curse if you will!Teams don't just come out of nowhere one season and win it all; it takes years of playoff experience and letdowns.Same goes for Vegas! That magic carpet ride ends in round 1 or 2.From the West: Nashville, on the other hand has a great shot, and so does San Jose, and Anaheim with their recent playoff runs.
I agree about Vegas, I think they get to the 2nd round at best. But I Couldn't disagree any more with your take on the Jets. I couldn't care less about the last time a Canadian team won the cup. The Jets are for real and not to be taken lightly. I can absolutely see them going to the cup. All the pieces are there for them. At the end of the day it's possible for any of these teams to go but the Sharks have all the pieces to go and so do the Jets. Everybody thinks the Preds will just run away with it and I think they are mistaken.
