My bracket is IN.. Here are my 3 upsets for the opening weekend.. quick insight..
11 Loyola-Chi over 6 Miami FL
Like Miami, Loyola can lock you down defensively. Led by Ben Richardson, Loyola has yet to allow a team to score more than 61 pts in their last 5 games.. Loyola is healthy heading into the tournament, but miami’s bruce brown who averages 11 and 7 has been out since January. Keep your eye out on the Ramblers!
13 Marshall over 4 Wichita State
Marshall may get killed on the boards in this one.. but Marshall can score in BUNCHES. Their C leads the country in block shots.. and they can light it up from 3. If they can knock down shots against an average defense in WSU,
look out.. The shockers don’t defend the 3 very well.. so see them potentially pulling this one out. it’ll take all 40 mins from the Herd.. also, Love their HC D’Antoni.. Mikes brother.
13 Charleston over 4 Auburn
Here’s my thought on this one... Charleston defeated Northeastern THREE times this year, including the conference championship game. Northeastern plays very similar to Auburn. According to Pearl, Northeastern plays a very similar zone defensive scheme as northeastern.. so he has some studying to do defensively. Cougars have 3 players averaging over 17ppg,.. Auburn better be ready to run against Charleston.. I’m taking the Cougars.

I have picked all 3 of these as well. I am least confident in Marshall because of the aforementioned rebounding sitch. Nice calls and rationale.

Just dont see Charleston having a shot though..........I think Auburn actually covers that line.
Athletically they are on a different planet than Charelston and playing Northeastern will be nothing like playing Auburn.....I know every year a 13 seems to win a game but I just dont see it here
GL bud
By the way I do like your Horns to cover vs NEV.......Will be close but the big man will make the difference at the rim

Hooks....any thoughts on South Dakota St/Ohio State?.....leaning towards South Dakota St.......thanks for the input....
Ohio St -7, lay off worries me a bit.. but I love this buckeye team. elite 8 for me. I see the Jack Rabbits staying in, and ohio st running away with it in the 2h. bol

Loved Loyola at 1st, but ACC has about 5+ teams that plats offensively and defensively more efficient than Loyola. Starting to really like Miami if line goes to -1. Best of luck.

Yea, it's probably going to be a close one but the way people are talking about Loyola like they're on some different level of talent than Miami can handle is ridiculous. Especially considering Miami just played UNC twice in the last two weeks. There is absolutely nothing Loyola will bring to the table that will be better than what Miami has faced this year.

Every single thread about upsets has Loyola in it... the popular upset neve ends up happening. Just sayin... I can’t post objectively about that game because I went to Miami, but to be honest I absolutely love that everyone is picking Loyola.
Love it, Lonnie Walker is the best nba prospect Loyola will have seen all season. I’m gonna go ahead and say that 11-7 in the ACC shows Miami should definitely handle Loyola if they play well. We could certainly lay an egg and lose, but Miami should be more than a 1 point favorite which is where it’s looking like it’s going to end up.
