Well guys today is my 1st play in the CBK forum since my stint in the Penalty box and while there i posted my plays in a thread as well as sending them via PM to my buddy wiseguy. Here is the rundown
Last Thursday lost $550 with Coastal Carolina
Last Friday won $800 with St. Bonaventure
Last Saturday won $500 with Virginia Tech
Tuesday won $700 with Nebraska
Wednesday won $1,000 with Virginia Tech
Thursday won $700 with Utah
So now on the season i'm 32-25-2 ........+$20
If i hadn't shown up for CBK until today i would only have $20 less
Lot of season left but guys i have to admit there's a lot of conference tourney games i'm looking forward to and i think we'll have some great matchups. As for today my play is:
St.Bonaventure -1.5 for $1,100
Only regular season meeting of the year and a revenge spot for the Bonnies after what happened LY when these 2 got together. The Bonnies come in 21-16 {11-4 in A-10}off a 73-67 win at home vs Duquesne. They have won 9 in a row which is their longest ever A-10 win streak. It was an ugly type of game for the Bonnies as they had to gut it out but also IMO a tough sandwich game as the Duquesne game was between the huge RI win and before the road game at VCU. Coach Schmidt called it the best defensive performance all year
VCU is 16-12{8-7 in A-10} off an 82-78 win at UMASS. VCU shot 54% from the field and Justin Tillman had himself a day with 29 points and 13 rebounds. VCU had the edges in Points in the Paint{38-16}Fast Break Points{8-3} and Bench points {20-5}
St.Bonaventure comes into tonight's game projected as 1 of the last 4 in according to ESPN's Joe Lunardi with an RPI of 29 and a SOS of 93. Despite their really good NC wins {Maryland,Buffalo,Cuse,Vermont Northeastern}the main reason they ride the bubble is the A-10 is down and doesn't have the top 50 RPI wins as VCU and Dayton have 1st year HCs and are retooling,Davidson did nothing in the NC same as Saint Louis and Duquesne has a lot of wins but not a lot of pelts on the wall. VCU's RPI coming into tonight is 125 and their last 2 opponents have RPI's of 98 and 139
Coach Schmidt had a great line not too long ago telling the press "A couple years ago we were co-regular season champs in the A-10 we had an RPI of 30 and didn't get picked for an at-large{1st team ever to have that happen to them} i told our guys we have to win the A-10 tournament. We cannot put our fate in that committee's hands'
As important as all these games are for the Bonnies going forward when you look back to LY which was the only meeting between these 2 that was the game where the Bonnies it the late 3 and the clock ran out and the fans stormed the floor........Only to find out that the clock shouldn't have stopped which then triggered a Technical Foul for fans running on the court which sent the game to OT where VCU won {I know because on that day I had VCU
}
VCU struggled against a beat up UMASS team and now has to contend with Adams and Mobley. Bonnies get revenge today on the road
BOL guys
