With only 25 games left or 1/3 of the season I'm curious what gamblers think might happen. Here are my far fetched theories:
Bucks win 1st round series in playoffs: I'm a big believer in following the money and I don't think any city (correct me if I'm wrong) has spent more than the City of Milwaukee. They are undergoing a major renovation to their downtown district with a $524m new arena to open next season and billions in other nearby projects (towers, infrastructure, waterfront property, hotels, etc..) to totally revitalize the city. When City's make that investment the NBA usually rewards it and with Giannis in MVP conversation I think this is the year Bucks get their 1st round big win to excite the City for next season and make all those investors feel that it was money well spent. Maybe a win over the Wiz in 6 or 7. Bucks haven't won a 1st round series since George Karl in 2001, to me they feel like the darling playoff upset this year. Big investors don't keep momentum by a 1st round exit by Bucks so watch NBA get them to round 2. Bet your Kevin Spacey house of cards on Bucks home wins as they only have 2 in last 8 years and a possible series upset over Wiz or Pacers.
Cavs early exit: I've been right on the story line of the Finals the last 2 seasons with the League needing to justify LeBron's return to Cleveland 2 years ago and then last season the League's needing to establish a dynasty again in one of the biggest emerging markets who happen to be building a new arena in San Francisco. The way I see the scipt, LeBron is gone frommCavs after this season and headed to Houston to unite with CP3 and Harden and challenge GS. If we work backwards from that theory then to me it doesn't make sense he gets to the Finals again. The perfect story is he loses to Raps or Cs in East Conf Finals and the NBA has something to yap about all off season as LBJ says he's hungry and pissed and can't wait to return to winning, it's a beautiful script they've run before and has huge cash implications. Congrats Raps or Cs welcome to the Finals. As another contrarian poster said, it doesn't make sense for Cavs to trade Kyrie to Cs and then beat Cs, that is pure genius and what makes money when every swingin diccck will be on Cavs.
Rockets lose in 7 to Warriors: based on above Cavs early exit theory it doesn't make sense Hou wins as it would be more entertaining that they come close to beating Ws in Western Finals yet need that one missing piece which is LBJ...can you imagine the ratings for West Finals next year with Hou v GS with LBJ on Rockets? Then LBJ faces Kyrie and Cs in Finals.
Heat to get hot: I called this and their offensive explosion just before the All Star break and hope it continues as they are one of the best coached teams in the league and are re-energized with Wade back. They've got a home heavy sched to start so looking forward to see if they can make their push and get some decent ATS bets. I'll be all in on that Feb 27th game hosting Philly as 76ers have beat them twice with last being a comeback heartbreaker and Philly could very well be on an epic 8 game win streak when they meet and we all know what Heat can do at home to win streaks (see Boston 16 game winning streak).
Warriors v Celtics Finals: makes sense to me and lines up big money for next season as well so even better... as Dion Sanders said, "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense."

Just can't do it bud. In your head the whole NBA league is entirely scripted, yet not one NBA player in the history of the sport has ever said so. I think you're delusional, with all due respect and should stop gambling.

I like the Bucks angle. I didn't know they spent that much money in that city.
Money/Salary wise, I don't think Houston can sign Lebron. Even if they can, I don't see Lebron being the right fit basketball wise with CP3 and Harden.
