Professor MJ,
I enjoy reading your thoughts and insights; it has been very valuable to me this season. However, I disagree with your Vikings/Carolina analysis, and also the lean on Altanta/NO.
Coach Zimmerman plays week by week, and he doesn't allow his team to look ahead to the finals or playoff picture; they will play this game like any other week. Vikings lost only twice so far this season. One was due to Bradford leaving the game, and another was because of Dalvin Cook leaving the game and 3 costly turnovers. Carolina has been inconsistent, and while I know Carolina will play with much greater purpose this week, I think the better team will win. It might be a matter of covering the chalk or not. It's hard to fade a hot streaking team.

Yeah I don’t care how decent Jets have looked or bad the Broncos have been
Denver comes to play and wins

Earlier in the season I remember them hammering Dallas then being favored in Buffalo and much talk about their great corner backs-downhill since,I find it hard to believe they can be this dysfunctional and they think they bring big effort at least one more time this season

Professor-MJ,
I only read your analysis of the Balt/Pitts game (only game I bet money on) and it is dead on IMO. Those factors that you mentioned all indicate big trouble for Pitts this week.
To see their best defensive player laid low by injury (Shazier) will not inspire this team, in fact, I see them playing more tentatively. For all of their natural talent, this is a team that is badly coached and lacking in discipline and focus.
A few weeks ago Tomlin was running his mouth about the upcoming Pitts/Pats game...not what you want to see from a head coach and especially one who was humbled and humiliated in the playoffs last year by same. The Brady/Belichick led Patriots are to the Steelers what Professor Moriarty was to Sherlock Holmes...
I see Pittsburgh coming out flatter than a Mexican tortilla today as their minds are already captivated by the vision of the Pats coming to their house, although all that New England has to do is walk onto the field and it is game over IMO. All of that hype and false bravado will melt away when Brady yet again trashes that dysfunctional Pitts' secondary. In short, banged up and looking ahead I see Pitts falling short today.
Once again Professor-MJ, bravo on your fine writeup.
