I have been betting on MLB since (I think) 2003 or 2004 and (for a European guy who watch it seldom because of time difference) it goes well. With some better money management maybe
it would be even great but ... yeah ... we are all people with our shortcommings. So it is fun and will stay so probably.
But what I wanted to ask is actually the following: weight of all what you consider when you make desicions. Here I will be very short as mine is like this:
75% pitcher (statistic from the 1st day, more recent more important)
15% team (this season)
10% streak (trying to find break in the long streak)
!!! I never play -1.5 on home team because of 9th inning !!!
So this was pretty short. Now I would like to hear from you as I would like to find out what
more could be of great value but I do not take it in consideration.

A small percentage of my capping also takes weather into account as well as bullpens as already mentioned by HoustonSports. Which way wind is blowing, as well as rain can affect the game.
I also like to know the teams' line up, whether they are heavy on right or left handed batters versus right or left pitchers.
Umpires can play a role in overs or unders as each can have different parameters for the strikezone.
As well, some stadiums tend to affect outcomes more than others with Coors being the most notable.

The key to picking winners is to not pick winners.
Look for value in relation to the line. Like when the Indians stink vs left-handed pitchers but are favored anyways because they're the Indians. There's probably value in fading them. Value = factors not accounted for by oddsmakers.
