Not sure how you would consider them 3 bad loses in a row at Giants at Dallas and Green Bay at home all three would beat the Seahawks no problem.
Getting dismantled by all 3 counts as bad losses, To not score a single point in the 2nd half against Dallas/NYG and to blow a ht lead against the Packers is bad. For all the flaws Seattle has, Detroit has more.

Yes, the Lions have lost 3 in a row but sometimes the final score doesn't tell the whole story...
In both the GB and NYG losses they had a higher yards per pass and yards per play than their opponent. Those 2 stats are typically the most highly correlated to scoreboard results.
Based on this, you can deduce that they at least played these teams to a virtual draw if not outplayed them. THEY HARDLY GOT DOMINATED!
I know most people here don't look past the uniforms and the star players but these are the facts. This line is too high. Not much separating these teams

About 80% of the people betting the lions are betting ag. the seahawks and that includes me and its very understandable.
The lions lost their last 3 vs 3 potential SB winners and were competitive into the 4th Q. with all then it came apart. The seahawks were playing MUCH worse teams in their final weeks and looking no better---maybe worse and they are giving 8 points now to that team who has nothing to lose cause they know nothing is expected of them now vs a seahawk team with all the pressure on them to just turn the switch and the clock back to dominate again cause its the playoffs, what a laugh with this impotent off. and a D. that does not scare anyone anymore esp. without their leader Thomas. If you gave me sea. -8 vs clev. right now i would not be over confident and i would have sweaty palms.
This is a 17-16----20-17 type game and the way the seahawks have been playing most of the year and esp. since losing their safety nobody would be surprised to see the lions on the good end of those scores.

Stafford and the Lions have not been the same since the injury to his finger. I don't have the stats on hand, but they're pretty bad. Even before Stafford's injury, the Lions were winning games on the last drive of the game. That's not a recipe for success. The Lions are 21st in total offense and 18th in total defense. Yes, the Seahawks are vulnerable. Their offensive line and run game are horrible, and the loss of Earl Thomas is huge. However, the Seahawks are the better team and they're playing at home.

How about the last time in Seattle when they got hosed buy the missed call in the endzone??? Wasn't that like last year or something? The ref was standing right in front of the player that batted the ball out illegally Or something like that??? I forget, but believe me they did not... again their record on the road against NFC is awhful so we shall see.

We all know that the Seahawks are capable of blowing them out. Which do you feel more confident in, tease Sea down to -1 or Det up to +14???? Lions are a dome team that cannot run the ball and has no history of success in postseason. A QB that likes to sling the ball around and make poor decisions. The Hawks may not be the maulers they once were but still have plenty to shut down the Lions, who limped to the finish line.

still hanging onto that fail mary hey? pathetic. wasnt greenbay up by 10 pts with 5 mins left in NFC championship game? and layed down instead of running? ya, your team is a bunch of idiots and one trick wonders, seattle and atlanta have the best chance

Usually when I post about these boys they come out and surprise me but.....
Common people lets be real
1. Lions dont win playoff games. Period.
2. Lions dont win vs teams with winning records
3. Lions dont win on the road.
4. Lions have had to come back trailing in the 4th in almost if not all wins this year. (not happening vs this defense)
5. Lions without Riddick was a huge loss. He was the run game, not by stats but by check downs and short passes dude was a stud.
6. Lions without Center again possibly, that without a run game and a busted finger spells disaster against this defense.
7. Lions are one dimensional once again against this defense in the toughest place to play.
8. Lions dont win on the road.
So its tough to say what are D Line can do vs that O Line. For one reason Russel Wilson. If it was Eli in the backfield Id say we'd kill him but we all know what Wilson can do so I dont see that as a huge advantage. But the Lions simply are not scoring many points

Seattle has been snake-bitten by injuries much of the season.....Wilson played through a HAS & sprained MCL simultaneously, Rawls was out, Prosise was out, Chancellor was out Bennett was out. They finally get guys back & then someone else goes down........Thomas....then Lockett. If anyone had any doubts about the value of Earl Thomas, those doubts have been put to rest......their D isn't the same w/o him.......same with Lockett. They just signed Devin Hester so that they have an experienced return man. I'm a Seattle fan but don't have my eyes closed.........the OL is still a big problem........ the running game has been inconsistent...... & the defense has been giving up big plays. If they were playing anyone but Detroit I'd suggest a big ML play. As it is, I think Seattle gets the win but the Leo's cover.

I consider bad losses when you lose to the bottom of the pack e.g. Cleveland Browns. Most teams in the NFL are fairly competitive but Dallas #1 Giants not bad beat Dallas twice and Packers hottest team in the NFL at the end of the season.

Sad being a Lion fan. Fond memories though of traveling to the Silverdome from Sarnia Ontario and watching Barry Sanders perform. Remember going there with my buddies not sure of the year but they were playing the Raiders i told the guys you know what i think the Lions are going to upset Oakland today and thats when the Raiders had the real good teams and they all laughed and much to all of our surprises they not only beat them they crushed them. As a longtime Lions fan you really have to lean on those good memories as there are so many bad frustrating bad ones.

The Packers crushed them worse than the way they beat Detroit
They beat the Rams at home on a short week after firing their coach and not on a very convincing way.
The Cardinals beat them at home once again exposing their defense.
They had a tough time to beat the 49ers
So they beat 2 of the worst 5 teams in the league, probably worst 3, and they did it with some problems, lost at home against a .500 team that was 1-5 on the road and they got absolutely crushed by the only playoff team they faced.
Add to that thay they'll be using a punt returner and a long snapper that were at home a week ago.
And you get a TD+, don't understand what's not to like here.

I'd be just as concerned with who the Lions have beaten, than who they've lost to. Before their 3 game skid they won 5 in a row, Bears, Saints, Jags, and Vikes twice. Nothing to brag about there. The Stafford injury scares me though.
Then you have Seattle that had a bye in their sights if they beat Cards at home and Niners to close season and they got torched. Obviously they miss Earl Thomas some. So I don't really trust them either, especially laying 8.
This one is an easy pass. As someone above posted, too many question marks on both sides. If you have a better angle, more power to you. I couldn't put my faith in either side right now.

This must have been back in 1981. That's the only year Detroit defeated the Oakland Raiders at the Pontiac Silverdome. (Barry Sanders wasn't yet there. He didn't join the team until 1989.) Oakland finished 7-9 that year.
