My beloved Blues do this to me every year: battling for one of the top spots in the West, earning a ton of points each season, looking like one of the top teams to beat.
As a 37 year old sports fan growing up on the East Coast, I have enjoyed many championships with my favorite teams: Giants, Yankees, and Pistons. But these Blues that I have been following since the early 90s always leave me wanting more. I remember back in 1996 losing game 7 to the Red Wings in triple overtime was an absolute heartbreaker. (Steve Yzerman for those that can remember that 1-0 final score). That was just a small glimpse of what lied ahead. Then in 2000 winning the President's Trophy, only to lose in the first round to the Sharks in 7 games (that made me miserable for the days that followed).
Now as playoff time draws near, I try and stay positive. Hopeful that this might be the year the Blues go deep in the playoffs, and perhaps win it all.
Best of luck to all teams, and enjoy the playoffs. I'll be a nervous wreck when it's all over! Go Blues!

Hard to believe the Blues still don't have a Stanley Cup after almost 50 years in existence. Other members of the 1967 expansion, Penguins, Flyers, and Kings can't keep track of all their Cups anymore.

the flyers can keep track, they have won nothing since 75
Except the Flyers were in the finals in 2010 and put up a great fight against one of the most stacked hockey teams ever. Blues wet the bed early and havent played well in the playoffs probably since 2000.

I think Montreal will win Canadas next cup!! Good draft pick, a new coach (possibly), Galchenyuck at centre and Price back healthy as a horse should see them making the Conference finals again soon, at least....

I think if saint louis faces chicy in the 1st round, u gotta take the blues for the series...they look convincingly better than the last couple of years while the blackhawks seem to lacking a certain something in them right now, not to mention they don't have sharp anymore..motivation could also be a factor just like the spurs last year, similar situation....plus, isn't crawford injured too?
i;m smelling a deep playoffs run for the team this year..its gonna be very interesting...one thing i am confident in though, is that chicy will not be in the championship round this year

Blues fought back to take a nail biter game 7. That should be a great boost of confidence for this club. Now hopefully they can gain momentum from that series win. It seems like everyone is on St. Louis for round 2. Let's hope you guys are correct!
