Just filed my season win totals with SJSharks for his annual contest and there are numbers that reveal secrets.
Does the public love Overs? You bet your sweet little bippy they do. Although there are only 2,430 games in a season the line has been pushed up to 2,453 wins if every team landed right on their projection.
Impossible. Obviously.
The National League is projected at 1,201.5 wins and that would truly be remarkable, considering they won only 1,198 last year, finished 17 games under 500 versus the American League and have at least 6 rebuilding teams this year. I have them projected at 1,195 this year and that may be generous.
I don't know where 2,453 wins are going to come from, but maybe that is why I entered 18 Unders out of 30 teams. If your math is giving you 15 or more Overs, maybe you better have another look at it.
Just sayin,
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

Sorry, some would be so controversial as to invite enormous bashing and I am just not into that anymore. Too many fools respond and think I should have to justify my position.
One I will share is Baltimore Under 85.5

I noticed that too about the season O/U win totals. Great point.
The bashers are definitely bogus, and rather annoying. But allow me to ask a few questions/ imply a notion that will undoubtedly get bashed and I will take it w/ open arms because I could give 2 sh*ts about those childish opinions. Constructive criticism on the other hand is a beautiful thing.
1. Why can't the Rays win their division this year?
I've been studying this division for a while and I think they have the best rotation 1 through 5. Odrizzi and Moore I think will raise some eyebrows all year. Tough loss though w/ their closer.
2. The BlueJays...
after Stroman, how many of you will be jumping up and clicking your heels to back any of their other starters? Sure those power bats can/will win some games alone. But do you really want to be sweating out a -150 or more juiced bet where it's an 8-9 ball game in the 8th inning?
3. The Red Sox...
after Price(insert same sentence from above paragraph) But I will say that I'm an Eduardo Rodriguez fan. If he has gotten over tipping pitches, the kid has a world of talent.
4. The Yankees...
Question marks everywhere. Will Tanaka's elbow hold up? How is Andrew Miller's wrist? Severino has huge upside, but how many innings can he throw? Will A-Rod continue to regress w/ age? Can the Yankees close out enough games to stay in the mix during Chapman's suspension?
5. Orioles...
Dumpster fire of a pitching staff. Huge home run bats but that's about it. How many guys will be on base for those homers?
Sorry to impose so many opinions on your thread KEY, and if it brings out the fools I apologize. But this is why I agree w/ Tampa OVER wins and Baltimore UNDER wins

No problem sac. I agree with most of what you say but Buchholz could also have a good year for the BoSox. After that they are as dead in the water as every other staff in the A.L.E.
The Rays not only have the top staff in that division but could also have a surprising offense this year, at least according to my numbers. They have the type of guys at the back end of the order that would be proud to act like Royals, i.e., consider the 7th, 8th, and 9th spots as lead ins for the top of the order, not just "roll over and die" guys like you see in the N.L., where they know the pitcher is going to kill whatever rally they have going anyway.

If you don't think the jays run with the division just based on skill and roster you're crazy. Biggest downfall is SP but outside of Tampa, nobody's SP intimidates me. Outside of Price, Boston is horse shit. Outside of having one of the most solidified back ends in baseball, Yankees have no starting roTion and horribly aging roster.
