contribute to regarding things to consider before you
wager on games this season.
In my " sickos and degens thread " post # 30 , I made
reference to elite defenses struggling against elite
offenses, and this will continue into the 2015 season.
Defensive stats especially in the latter stages of the
season and playoffs clearly show this trend.
All that know me on this forum know that I am always
talking about two things " Matchup Analysis' and the
fact that CFB is " ever evolving " relative to Offensive
and Defensive strategy.
Matchup Analysis
This highlights the inherent flaws in a teams capacity
to defend vs their opponents offensive scheme.
Currently good teams struggle to defend the Spread
( including Alabama ) due to the fact that the Spread
places Defenses into athletic mismatches to their
advantage. To that end in the future, I believe you will
see more 4 -2 -5 defense being employed as well as
more aggressive recruiting of dominant defensive
tackles, cornerbacks that excel in press coverage ,
lighter , faster defensive ends that can control the
edge , and physical safeties for run support.
To my point, check out this years ESPN 's top 30
recruits this year.
Not all teams run the spread, some teams run a pro
style offense that offer other challenges to today's
Defensive Coordinator and recruiters. This is where
the Ever Evolving part comes in,and is getting more
challenging for those who handicap the outcome of
games for profit. More is becoming required of you to
be successful at this.
Many times we will hear the term " Fixed " on this
forum over the course on the season, which I believe ,
is an excuse for those who do not perform proper due
diligence before making a wager.
I say this to encourage all to dig a little deeper into their
handicapping skills to achieve a positive outcome at
the end of the season.
Best of Luck to All this coming Season.
