As they say, it's a hard knock life and the way cg is doing it and leading other fellow cover members towards the "promised" land is not right. He is now playing with ppl's lively hood who are actually looking at his plays and depending on him which is not right. (Well at least in my POV).
My whole point was, why not take experienced cappers like vanzacks advice and try to add it to your own style? Everything this "kid" is doing is wrong and he had the help and support in the beginning and middle of the thread from well known established cappers. I could only wish a person like Vanzack could give me some advise. I would like to learn more and I would take his advise.
It doesn't matter what you have, it matters what you do with it, correct?
Absolutely agree with most of what you say, broncofn. I said several times in this thread that CG had literally tens of thousands of dollars of advice given to him in this thread by some very knowledgeable gambling minds. He received this free education because he put himself out there, at first, and wanted the advice...again...at first.
Something changed though. My belief is that his youth, his undisciplined character and the lack of structure combined with the Vegas "experience" overwhelmed him. His early success did him no favor in that respect as well as it fooled him into thinking that he was the exception instead of the rule as a handicapper. Combine this with a lack of some important basic knowledge (how to get the best lines, etc, etc) and when the bad times came, he was not prepared to weather the storm.
He went back to old habits...chasing, increasing bet sizes...typical gambler behaviors. He resisted grinding with flat bet strategies even when shown their efficiency over what he was doing. He basically abandoned his lightly thought out plan to be a pro.
Everyone has to "live and learn" and CG has been gifted many pieces of advice that others have paid dearly for before him in the schools of hard knocks. It's a shame that he must follow the path of youth and learn the hard way. Very few there are who do not take this path...they are certainly the exceptions to the rule.
The beauty of it is that Vanzak, and others, have left their valuable information in this thread. When I started to first read this thread, I saw there were over 180 pages or so. Quite the daunting task it seemed, but as I kept reading I saw the golden nuggets of information that were being dropped. I copied and pasted them into files for future reference and study. The reason I read every page and waded through so much of the worthless fodder that was also in here, is because every now and then some true jewels were found. I did not keep reading because of CG.
Those jewels are still in this thread. Waiting for you and any others to go back and pick them off the ground...like 100 dollar bills just lying in the street. I encourage you to do so when you have time. You will not be wasting your time.
But to your point about CG harming others by exposing them to his "journey"...everyone in this thread, I believe, is a big boy of legal age. CG is no more likely to harm people with his picks than any other person throwing out picks on any given day. And if the average gambler does go back through this thread and read it and they see the valuable advice, they will receive far more benefit from this thread that CG started than any picks he may give out that they may lose money on.
On balance, this will be a positive experience for the majority who read it and not a negative. This is also why I have not left the thread to the garbage talkers who ply their stock and trade here on a daily basis. The good stuff will be read and recognized and the huge audience this thread has will get the good stuff and most will leave the bad behind and never remember it.
No, no psychology doctorate from an accredited school of higher learning and high priced tuition. A doctorate in life studies of my own design, which I can guarantee you has cost me more than any 8 years or more of doctorate studies would have cost me...lol.
I seem to never get off cheap.
