Thursday: 3-1 (+$148) - Thank god I bought out of my Islanders bet with the Avalanche ML. As soon as Johnson was named started I fired the Avs. Ended up losing $5 bucks in juice but saved a unit and made it a positive day haha.
Season: 26-18 +$753 ML: 12-10 PL: 0-1 Totals: 9-5: little bit of a heater on totals Parlays: 5-2: 2 team parlays have been going well so far
Friday Halloween Edition Pucks
Ducks @ Stars o5.5 (-120) $240/$200 - These two teams have loved playing in high scoring affairs. The over is 8-3 between these two since the beginning of last season. Both core rosters have stayed pretty much the same with the exception of both adding more offensive weapons. Just looks and feels like a 4-2/4-3 type of game to me with maybe some OT.
Preds @ Flames u5 (+100) $200/$200 - The Preds have been under machines in the early going thanks in large part to stellar goaltending, very stingy defense and a lack off offensive weapons. Rinne is playing great and enters with a 1.71 goals against, I like his chances of keeping that number low against a Flames team also lacks firepower. On the flip side the Flames have gotta like what they have seen from Jonas Hiller. As a Sharks fan I got too see Hiller rob the Sharks numerous times (or the Sharks made him really good) Hiller is definitely a hit or miss type of guy, but when he is on he definitely capable of being an elite goalie. He comes in with a 1.63 gaa and should have a good chance of keeping that low vs a Preds team that struggles to score. The under is 8-1 in the last 9 preds game and despite getting it 5 for obvious reasons... I like the even money on it.
Red Wings ML (-125)$125/$100 Gotta give the Wings a lot of credit, they have surpassed my expectations in the early going. They battled through some injuries and gritted out some nice wins. They are going solid goaltending from both Howard and Gustavsson. In this game they will face a very banged up LA Kings team who are on the tail end of a b2b. The Kings struggled on the road in the 2013 campaign and so far are winless in 3 tries. Going into the Joe banged up will be a tall order. The Kings are just 5-23-1 in there last 29 meetings at the Joe. We all know how hard it was for opposing teams to win in that building. It's gotten a little bit easier since the level of play from the Wings has declined a bit, but none the less too many reason not to take the home favorites at a pretty good price in this one.
