If recent history plays a part, then there's very strong possibility that the following teams will miss the dance when this year's NFL regular season concludes December 29th.
Cleveland-Jacksonville-NY Giants-Washington-Minnesota-Tampa Bay-Carolina and the loser of tonight's Monday night game-either Cincinnati or Pittsburgh.
Over the past three NFL seasons there have been a total of 26 teams that have started the campaign with a record of 0-2 and not one of those 26 clubs qualified for the playoffs.

SInce keeping record of these types of stats, I can tell you 11.6% of all teams that start 0-2 have gone on to make the playoffs.
Keeping in mind, in 2008 alone, Minny, Miami and San Diego all started 0-2 and still made the playoffs.
While it is rare, my thinking is that when it does happen, it happens in bunches. So Id guess at least one of the teams on the list above (My guess is the Giants) will still make a run at the playoffs. Remember, Coughlin teams play best when their backs are against the wall.
But you are right, its not looking good for those teams mentioned above.
