Had two nice, relatively sweat free "W"'s last night. Let's see if we can keep it rollin'. Right now the only one I have for tonight is:
Illinois + 4.5 (first half only) - While I don't love this play, I do like the spot. Michigan St. is clearly the better team and they can go ahead and prove that in the 2nd half .
Emotional losses can adversely effect a team much like a hard fought emotional win can be followed by a "hangover" performance. The loss on Sunday to the Hoosiers was a tough one for Sparty, you could see it on Izzo and his players faces as they walked off the floor. And now MSU reaches kind of a "blah" spot in their schedule with Minnesota coming in next and then a game in West Lafayette. I'm banking on them coming out semi-flat (I could be wrong).
On the other hand, it's gut check time for the Illini as they dropped to (2 - 5) in conference play after being embarrassed at home by Michigan on Sunday. I look for Illinois to come out as fired up as they've been all year, in a redemption and desperation type of mode. Throughout the years, the Fighting Illini have been very competitive in the Breslin Center. And much like last night's play on Rutger's (1st half), I see the underdog hanging around early and maybe even well into the 2nd half in this one.

I like the play because MSU has become pretty complacent in the first half of games the last few years. They almost always make for a good second half bet.
