SU winners: 15 OT record: 3-0 Record on the open: 20-15 Winners because of the Open: 1 Losers because of the Open: 1
Notes: -Great
Saturday given away a tad by the Sunday loss on Maryland. Looks like I
missed a winner by not getting 7.5 (and a push when 7 was out there),
but Trey McKinney-Jones missing a wide-open dunk was too fortunate that
it should have lost anyways -Speaking of UMD, I'm going to have to
adjust their rating because their offense was horrendous. I've gone back
and forth on my feelings of Mark Turgeon, lately thinking he was good
at what he does after thinking he was an idiot at TAMU. One thing his
teams do is play defense, but even out of timeouts they turned the ball
over or took a really quick shot that they could have gotten anytime.
That may be the youth of the team's fault, but it's still not a good
thing -Miami didn't score well and were fortunate to get some dunks
out of Julian Gamble until Trey McKinney-Jones bailed them out of a 1/10
start from the line by burying 4 straight. At 89% he should have been
the last guy they fouled but credit Miami for getting the ball in his
hands -Did not play Iowa because I wanted a full possession, which
was silly, also laid off Arizona State because I don't think they're
good and that was a winner as well. Oregon may be good, but they're a
team I plan to fade on the road and were clearly in prime letdown mode
after giving UA its first loss.

Baylor is probably walking into an ambush but Kansas is playing like a pretty content team right now.......they know they are going to win the Big 12 and probably win it quite easily. They are playing that way.

I could see bill self getting all over them for the last two efforts, but Baylor could fire them up because of all the top-tier recruits wearing green

Bill Self made a pretty big coaching error in the Iowa State game and it almost cost him. He needed to put a fourth shooter on the court and not play Kevin Young so much......I love Kevin Young but the way ISU was playing, he was a huge liability on the offensive end.

Unrelated, but I LOVE your Florida futures bet. This team looks great and their D plays at a very high level. I might have to pull the trigger ASAP.
It was more about getting a drink ticket at Harrah's, but I'm curious what number they have out there right now. Think they will be a very high seed for 14/1

-Didn't guess lines today, but I think I would have made this around 3.5 or 4. Boatwright and Napier are two PGs on the floor at once which will help them break the press and are the only two guys who can match Siva and Russ Smith in any lineup. Depth is a question for UConn with all the defections, but UL isn't deep either and Chane Behanan's ankle is a question whether he played against USF or not. Gonna need to build off the huge win in South Bend, specifically Olander who was great against jack Cooley. Dieng will do well tonight, but UConn breaking the press will be the difference. Part of me even thinks UL plays slow and uses their zone to prevent easy buckets.
