People could say what they want but there is absolutely NO ANSWER for the great Kobe Bryant, he's been impossible to guard for over 16 seasons now whether you like the man's personality or not. That being said, I like the showtime Lakers to cover 7 points at home against a Brooklyn team that is talented but I'm just not sold on yet. Joe Johnson might be great or simply awful, you never know, and there are at least 10 point guards I'd take over Deron Williams, he's overrated. PICK: LAKERS -7 GLTA...

BK is 6-2 with a easy opening schedule two wins over Orl only quality win against Boston and bos has been struggling out of the gate so lean has to go to LA who has proven they can contend with a high caliber team like SA.

Under is also a strong play imo
Have to agree. LA and Under is looking like a play for me tonight. D'Antoni is going to have LA running out the gates. First half LA might be a good one also

Good game, should serve as a good measuring stick for both teams at this point of the year. Made some decent coin on Brooklyn so far, while LA burned me (and many others I'm sure) early.
I like the Under 208.5 here, as I think that total's a little too high and the Nets might be able to hang with the Lakers and give them a game.

DEAR ZBOLTON: Here are the Point Guards I would take over Deron Williams and a brief reason why...
1. Rajon Rondo One N.B.A. championship, two apperarances in the finals and could easily be a two time champion if they won a deciding game 7 but L.A. won.
2. Tony Parker, a proven winner, scorer, and mulitple time champion, basically unguardable.
3. Chris Paul. The best all around PG in basketball.
4.Steve Nash. Former two time M.V.P. of the league and an all star last season in his own right. Has demolished Deron Williams when they went head to head in the past. (Check it out if you don't believe...)
5. Derrick Rose. Explosive (or used to be...) Former league M.V.P. can pass to when he wants to.
6. Russell Westbrook, One finals apperance under his belt already, beatinfg both the Lakers and Spurs and just a crazy athlete. He does it all...
7. Jason Kidd. Yes he is old now, but he is more reliable at the end of games than Williams. He has a championship and two other finals apperances, one of the best to ever play the game.
8. Damian Llliard from Portland. Okay he's just a Rookie but I love his game, at worse he is a wash to Deron Williams,
9. Well Okay Deron Williams I would rank here. Not Tenth but 9th? Any thoughts? Please reply...

D Will would avg. 20 against all these guards in the point.
Westbrook - nope.....OKC would make that trade right now.
Kidd - seriously ?
Rondo - foul him make him shoot free throws.
Damian - you're just being foolish.
Nash - 10 years ago.
CP3 - pretty damn good.
D Rose - pretty damn good.
Parker - pretty damn good.
Basically D Will is top 5......stop using drugs it's affecting your Brain cells.
Stockton never won a chip. Would you still keep some of these guards over him in his prime?

Dear loulo13, Here is the proof that drugs aren't affecting my brain cells any. Visit my page and see for youself that I pick winners and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to basketball. That's why I have FOUR RED STARS next to my profile and over 95% of the people who post here don't. The numbers don't lie Sir...

Just put down 20 large on BK to win this. Lakers are not going to do well with this being their first game with the coach on the sidelines. He will feel the need to over coach in hopes of impressing the owners and as a result ruin the chemistry that has been built in his absence. BK wins by 5. Book it.

I've picked over 5000 games and in NO sport do I have black stars.
(Sports that count)
Point taken but please keep in mind that I've only started "RECONECTING" on the "Covers" website like a few weeks ago. I've been handicappinig for about 21 years now and I'm only 33 years old. As a teen I wasn't making money as I had no sense of discipline and was just learning the ropes, but for the past 6 or 7 years I've been making a living off this stuff. 100% tax free. I've been more concerned about making a profit than I was about posting picks for all to view but nowadays I'm a bit bored I guess and would like to talk smack if I can back it up. LOL. Just give me the benefit of the doubt, you'll see that MY STARS aren't likely to disappear any time soon, in fact I've gained half a star since my last post 50 mins ago cause I'm that damm good... Catch ya later?
