Miami - It take a lot of mental toughness to bounce back from being outscored by Minny 32-10 in the 4Q at home, which is what happened to the Nets last time out. Now they go on the road and have to face Miami who looks very good to start the season, especially on offense. This does look good but I sense a backdoor cover, so I will pass.
No backdoor cover as Miami wins by 30.....it looked good for a reason....wish I played it....

Dallas - More of a fade of the Raps, having to play back to back after getting blown out in OKC last night. Though the Mavs have looked great so far without Dirk....OJ Mayo going off with consecutive 30 point games. However, trying to predict how Toronto will play on any given night will make you poor in a hurry, so I will pass.
Raps played surprising well, especially without Lowry, who - get this - leads the team in points, rebounds, assists, steals, FG%, FT% and 3P%.....I know its just 3 games but still, that is just nuts.....anyway, even without him, they lose to Dallas by 5 and squeeze out a cover.....glad I laid off

Lakers - I tend to think the Lakers will go to 2-3 rather then fall to 1-4, so getting any points seems great....however their sole win was against a bad Detroit team, and now they have to go on the road against a very talented Jazz club. I want to see them win on the road before putting my money on them, so pass.
Lakers continue to struggle, playing with no intensity and never really in the game, they lose by 9 to the Jazz.....glad I laid off

Absolutely right....you can't win them all....looked good for a while, but give the Pistons credit, they found the will to make a 4Q run and only lose by 2
2-1 $900
Today I'm looking at both road teams, OKC and the Clippers, as well as Indy in the NFL.......on NFL game days, I have been known to take an NFL play, because I know NFL at least as well as I know NBA, and if there was football every day I would probably not care so much about the NBA. Basketball is my 1st love, and I grew up watching Bird and Magic battle each other, but the NBA of today is a far cry from what it was back then, and not in a good way. For the last 10 years, thanks to an unhealthy obsession with fantasy football, my knowledge of players and teams has allowed me to wager on NFL with as much confidence as NBA.
But that is it.....I neither know nothing not care about baseball or hockey....

OKC - seems like they should be able to take care of the Bulls without Rose....I look at this line and think, what am I missing here? I feel like OKC should be a bigger favorite.....this line seems fishy and it makes me nervous....pass
Clippers - As above, Clippers seem like the far better team, but they are just too much Jeckle and Hyde at the moment, losing at home to GS and Cleveland, before handing the Spurs their 1st loss....Let them iron out the early season kinks before I back them....pass
Today's play is Colts -3 in the NFL (I know its the wrong forum, but I don't feel like starting a new thread there....sorry if this bothers you). Indy is a very emotional team this season, in a good way. The situation with their coach has given them extra incentive to win, and win they have. Luck is a true phenom, and Wayne is playing like he shaved 5 years off his age overnight. Jax is struggling on both sides of the ball, and with Gabbert and without MJD they really struggle on offense. I think they should win by 10 at least.

Well it took a 31-19 4Q for OKC to pull out the win and cover, but it wasn't easy. Bulls always seem to play better then you would think without Rose. Still, considering the score in the football game, I think I went with the right play

and yes, I know technically I shouldn't call the game with almost a full quarter still to go, but sometimes you just know, you know?
Game is now over and an easy win for Indy, finally no nailbiter!
Going to bed, good luck to anyone that has action on the late game....Clippers looking great so far, and the momentum from the Spurs win is definitely carrying over!

Good afternoon....great win last night with the Colts....even though I liked both road teams last night, and they both ended up winning, I am happy I went with the football play, because it was the one I had the most confidence in, and especially on a night when there are only 2 games to choose from, it makes sense to look at other alternatives....
Tonight, a big card, with several good looking plays to choose from......here's what I am looking at:
