this looks to be a pretty good game here. I like Tettleton and solich and their offense, but they did not get any favors handed to them by the schedule makers. This will be Ohio's 3rd game in 12 days. They did this before last year and won all 3, but damn, that situation isn't ideal, especially now going up against what will probably be the best defense they will play all year. Not to mention BG didn't play last weekend so they have had extra time to prepare for this offense. they haven't allowed a TD in the last 2 games and are the clear defensive leader in the MAC. s a team, the Falcons rank eighth in the nation in total defense (290.0)
and 11th in scoring (15.2), which are both first in the MAC. The
Falcons also lead the conference in rush defense (104.2) and passing
defense (185.8). • Leads the MAC in scoring defense (15.2)
• Leads the MAC in total defense (290.0) and is ranked eighth nationally.
• Leads the MAC in rushing defense (104.2)
• Leads the MAC in pass defense (185.8)
• Third in the MAC with nine interceptions
• Second in the MAC with two INT returns for touchdowns
• Second in the MAC with 25 sacks
• BG defense is allowing just 14.6 first downs a game (leads MAC)
• Leads the MAC in 3rd down defense (31.0%)
• Have allowed just three TDs in the last five games.
In all, BGSU is 20-11-1 on the road in Athens and have won four of the last five meetings in Peden Stadium. As I normally do, I bought it up to 3 for -125. But I love the falcons and their defense and I'll take my chances with a better defense and + points most of the time.
