Answer...The thing you'll never understand about unions is that someone is allowed to cover for you. It may even be the union rep.
Now I am sure someone could have covered for her to let he take time off for personal leave.
I'll now ask you a question.. What if she had a heart attack and was hospitalized ? Who would cover for her then ? ah-ha So it's all a bunch of baloney.

for starters theres laws companies have to follow which addresses the heart attack issue, thus rendering your argument moot.
secondly, she is the boss, why do you assume there is someone capable of doing her job? what if the replacement screws up, then whos ass is on the line?
