You can blame a buddy of mine for jinxing it.
He emailed me with the bases loaded, no outs, in the Cubs' side of the 5th inning, Houston up 4-3, and said we're about to win the over bet.
2 strikeouts and a ground ball later, the inning ended with 0 runs.
We tried reverse jinxing in later innings by saying we could already chalk it as a loss, but gambling gods had already decided our fate.
BTW, I sent you a friend request, 406. If you could add me I'd appreciate it.
