RBG - I think I understand your question, however, I too was on the wrong side last night. My good friend is 13-1 on MNF, and he had the Gmen last night, and hit again. I went against him because of several factors, and it turned out I was wrong.
Watching the analysis this morning, there is a lot of turmoil in the skins camp, and there seems to be a "don't give a crap" attitude - that comes from having no coach, etc.
I don't think that's an excuse for a team not covering, I think it's like bud said on another post last night, "sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains"...lol
The money management comment is very accurate, and the point of that is, if you bet consistently day in and day out, this one game doesn't matter. If you bet the same amount, then this is just one loss. In the scheme of your bankroll, you only lost 1 unit.
No biggie.
This game looked like a trap to me, and it's why I took the skins. It was simply a bad call. You knew enough about the teams to keep yourself from losing a large amount, and that's just good handicapping. I'd say keep listening to your gut and studying/capping the games. You assimilated some info that kept you from making a big mistake.
