Just ran into this thread thanks to a timely bump.  That is an awesome story.  Having close family and friends that you can do fun things with is amazing.

Ten Year Update...

Dad reached his 90th birthday this year.  2007 remains the last time I took him to Fenway.  He just had pacemaker surgery and wants to go to a 2018 game.  Let's get through Spring Training first.  But yeah, I believe we have one more game to go Dad. Maybe these bums will WIN a game we attend.  Will keep you guys updated.

Dad turned 91 years old on April 1, 2018.

I have him in a retirement home and he and my mother (age 94) are roommates.

Not looking good for Mom.  But Dad is feisty as ever!!!

The Red Sox are having such a GREAT season I really want to get him to a game at Fenway.
