Words can't describe this tragedy.  What the hell is wrong with people?  There are lots of questions that need to be answered.  But I find it interesting that this guy knew where the concert was and had a room facing the concert.  This is something that took some planning and wasn't a spur of the moment attack.  This just sucks.

He was there since 28th of September. 10 rifles found.. always wondered why there’s no surveillance at these hotels. And he must have had a balcony suite? So sad. God rest their souls...God bless the first responders... God bless the families that will forever be torn apart...

And how does this guy get 10 automatic weapons?  This guy has a roommate who is out of the country at the moment.  If he had a roommate, he probably didn't have much money to throw around to buy fully automatic weapons.  I'm sure that would cost a lot of money.  I'm gonna guess someone else was involved.

They definitely have to look through the surveillance cameras.  That takes a lot of time.  They will find out what's up.  It will take a lot of time because he checked in on the 28th.  So they have to carefully look through days of footage.

It's time to ban automatic weapons in this country, this type of weapons belongs to battle field not on the street.

I mean surveillance on luggage. Anyone can bring a bomb or weapons to a hotel. They need to have metal detectors and search bags like most hotels do overseas...

He had semi auto rifles with a 300 dollar add on part to make the guns sound full auto.
Unfortunately there's just no law that would have stopped this raging psychopath, and ao matter what they'll figure out a way.

God awful tragedy.

Why does anybody need a gun. Wait to protect your family from being robbed. Your gun isn't loaded, so are you going to tell the guy that broke into your house, to wait here while I go get my gun and then load it. Plus most of you guys, would be pissing in your pants. BAN ALL GUNS.

in all honesty, I thought IF we had a "mass casualty" event in my town, it would be a suitcase bomb on a casino floor OR more likely in a crowded sportsbook on a major football weekend like the NFL playoffs or Super Bowl OR during "March Madness"

btw. I believe that the Wynn hotels now DO screen baggage and have metal detectors at their main entrances. never been to one of Steve Wynn's over priced "ripoff" joints BUT that is what I have heard

btw, the absolute LAST thing Las Vegas needs is for that goof Donald Trump to come out here and do his usual political "grandstanding" after a tragedy

Jeusez Chriist-I can't believe all the Nancys on the site. After all the Hillarys ban all the Guns and confiscate all the Guns......Thats When I'm Going to Need MY Guns!!! Thats what the 2nd is all about in the visionary wisdom of the authors of the Constitution.
Hillary Clinton in her never-ending Book Tour/Apology Campaign to sell horsesh*t to the horses, took less then 10 hours to pull out the old scripts on why America needs to Ban Guns.....for that alone we must never consider their rant.

Yeah, that kind of weapons are designed for combat use, not on our neighbors, Search. It's not about left or right, this is all about the sense of security for us.

He played high stakes video poker.

Eric Paddock in an interview in Orlando, Florida, says his 64-year-old brother once "texted me a picture that he won $40,000 on a slot machine."

Apparently he had once petitioned the Nevada Wagering Board for an action involving a Casino.

If he wasn't able to use his AR15 full or semi autos he would just blow the place up and kill even more people.. There's no solution for these kinds of monsters. None.

That will require more extra difficult training to execute a blow up job to kill more people, apparently. With multiple military assault automatic guns in his hand would make him much easier to kill mass people, very unfortunately. As i've said, these AR-15 full or semi are for the purpose of combat field not on the street. Certainly, law enforcement would agree with the point here.

I hate to say it, but you just can't watch everyone a hundred percent of the time and put metal detectors at the entrance to every building.  At least SO FAR, there was no reason this guy should have been on any watch list.

That said, I am curious to learn more about the details of this (ie. how he got his hands on all these weapons, etc.).

The dude let loose so much fire that the smoke set off the detector in his room.  I can't even fathom the horror all those people must have felt.

Probably a fanatic gun collector. You know the types that have a whole room filled with AR's and misc others. Then he starts adding bump fire stocks and promptly goes insane.

I was wondering HOW Las Vegas SWAT was able to find the shooters room so quickly. the Mandalay Bay one of THE biggest hotels on the strip. thank God they found him relatively fast

overall gotta give the Las Vegas police and other law enforcement a huge for their actions
