The OU vs. Iowa State rivalry is 74-5-2 for the Sooners.
Clones beat OU only once since 1961 – 33-31 in 1990 in Norman,
QB Chris Petersen found holes in the OU defense, continually scrambling up the middle of the field for huge chunks of yardage,
despite wearing a big brace on his leg, & not even being a
running-QB to begin with.
ISU tied OU in 1981,  7-7, when Alex Giffords missed 4 FGs
and yet he eventually set the Big8 record for career field goals.
As a 3 TD dog last year, ISU kept it close against OU, losing by
only 10, 24-34.

Starting QB Jacob Park took leave of the ISU team - personal.
Backup QB Zeb Noland threw only 1 pass in college football.

For those who currently place their wagers on the basis of stats:
ISU ranks 105th in rushing offense & 23rd in passing offense &
a mere 108th in defense against the pass.
OU ranks 1st in offensive yards, 4th in scoring & passing yards,
& are on a 10 game winning streak,
& the Okies are off their bye week of rest.

..It's time to join the Cavs, Cubs, & Clemson with the Cyclones..

Cyclones +31.5 / (+3730)

There hasn't been a total as high as 47.5

Facial-hair styles first became prominent when
Rollie Fingers long Snidley Whiplash styled
handlebar waxed moustache and his Oakland A's
made mustaches mandatory in the early 1970s.

February this year the Miami Marlins ended their
team policy banning facial hair.  Once their
Manager Don Mattingly discussed the issue with
the then owner Jeffrey Loria, and then made the
change.  Mattingly himself donned a memorable
mustache during his playing days.  He stated that
the team's 'appearance policy' was not at all
popular with the Marlins players last season.

There's exact rules for appearance when playing
for the toronto Maple Leafs because of their GM
Lou Lamoriello who wants guys to be clean
shaven and have relatively short hair.
Lamoriello’s teams have always been like that.
When he ran the New Jersey Devils, his reputation
as an old-school conservative stressing conformity
earned him the sick nickname “Tall-Lou-Ban.”

Lamoriello influenced George Steinbrenner into
instituting a similar edict in 1973 when he bought
the New York Yankees — Don Mattingly was a
player and was soundly benched for "growing
his hair too long."

The NY Yankees' 'appearance policy' regulates
how players look on the baseball playing field:
“All players, coaches and male executives are
stictly forbidden to display any facial hair other
than mustaches (except for religious reasons),
& scalp hair may not be grown below the collar.
Long sideburns and ‘mutton chops’ are not
specifically banned.”

This year, the American League Pennant teams
were on opposite sides of the fence concerning
beards & hair.  The Strohs are all hippy ZZ Top,
while the Yanks are not at all "The Skankees."

For the 2017 World Series we can add in all the
LA Dahjahs beards to the hippy ZZ Toppers'.

Dodgers players Clayton Kershaw, Andre Ethier,
and Kenley Jansen all played on the 2011 LAD
club with the now-retired infielder Casey Blake,
known widely as basically the only baseball dude
w/ a full beard in the middle part of the last decade.
He was one of the pioneers of MLB’s beard trend.

Justin Verlander's just one hairy dude, so his beard
is a perpetual 5:00-shadow that's ZZ Top by 9pm.

Dallas Keuchel's the thickest beard of all: ZZ Top.

Evan "Caveman" Gattis has one very bushy beard.

Justin Turner’s bright orange hair & scraggily beard.
Instantly & incredibly recognizable as LA Dahjahs.

Dodgers Josh Fields has the next best bushy beard.

Last but not the least bit good is Kershaw’s beard
that's only thick under is chin, with but an Amish
line of feeble whiskers around the mustache area.

Tuve or not to ve?
That is the question.
Whether he's hotter in the mid October —
Bat slings roped arrows of outrageous hitting,
Or to take The Arms - against two Cy's of troubles,
And their opposing ends them: today. — Too steep?

No score; and by a sweep to say they end
The heart-ache and the hundred natural locks
That Wins are heir to: 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd.  To try to sweep:

To Sweep, perchance to CREAM — ay, there's tar-rub:
For in that sweep of wealth what runs may come,
When they have shuffled off their batting core,
Must give them cause—there's The Respect
That makes calamity of so long strife.
For who
would bear the whips and bats up lines,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd gloves, the rain's delay,
The insolence of off-picks, and mound turns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When they themselves might his fastball rake
With a bare deadline? Who would Keuchel's bear,
To grunt and sweat under a player's life,
But that the read of something underbreath,
The undiscovere'd count - try, from walks bourn
No runner returns: Puzzled they're killed,
And makes them stranded, bear those ills they have
Than fly ball others — that they know not of ..

Thus science dust make stewards of us all,
And thus the native HOU of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the dodge cast of blue,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
While they're dotards, their currents turn awry
And lose their name's reaction.
