African Americans have been complaining about their condition for 50+ years now.

Marches, protests, this stuff goes on for the rest of eternity.  They are always unfairly treated, even if they're given million$, even if we have a black Prez.

If this stuff continues watch people will stop paying for tickets. The NFL's existence might even be at play. Then suddenly like always these same guys will notice a paycheck isn't coming in like it used to, or they can't play on a team, and like everyone else who can't get a job they'll plead for forgiveness.

They have no idea how stupid they look to the rest of the country.

So tired of it, but you have to watch for it this year.

A lot of these guys know to shut up, including most of the African American players, unfortunately these grandstanding idiots want to ruin it for the rest.

I know it's hard to believe for these idiots, but the vast majority of people paying their paycheck, owners and ticket buyers and shirt buyers and fans, aren't African American and don't share their view.

Maybe they can go on CNN and tell everybody how unfair life is.

I'm quite aware of the difference between "there" and "their". And "they're", for that matter. It was an honest mistake made while half asleep. Do you have anything to offer to subject? I honestly am not in need of a spelling and/or grammar lesson.

It's clear how u feel about racial tensions in America. And if u can't sympathize with players and respect that they want to use their platform to raise awareness about injustices, then maybe you just shouldn't watch. You and whoever else! The majority of NFL skill players are African American. What would the league be without them? Boring as hell! But it's people like you "African Americans been complaining for 50+ yrs" like they should just shut up so you can enjoy a GAME. You're pathetic!!

I have a lot of black patrons at my restaurant
When this issue comes up
Here's what most have to say

That flag don't mean a damn thing to me

On guy who's father even served said as much.

While I do not agree that flag protests should be carried on in the work place.

I can completely see why people of color feel the way they feel,
For them
This country
It's flag
Its people
Have a tainted history
The country up until 60 years ago had segregation laws

The country the people lynched blacks without trials

Before that slavery
Sexual abuse rape
All done under the protection of the us government

No no Budweiser
Take your white pride loving a$$ someplace else,

The black man has every right to dislike this country and the bacterial growth that is people like you in it.

Still
I don't think it should be done,in the work place.

The thing is the flag does mean a lot to many Black people. Even to some of those protesting. That's the danger of letting the media write your narrative for you. They play up this "black people hate America" ideology that makes people, mostly white people, say, "Hey, you're a millionaire prima donna athlete that should be thankful." No one is saying America isn't great, or that they don't appreciate playing in the NFL. What they are saying is as good as America can be, it has flaws. And we should address these flaws rather than sweep them under the rug.

People that haven't had a cousin or brother shot so bad that the funeral home couldn't even come close to fixing them, have no clue of the pain other groups feel. Or your sister killed by police and her death is said to be "suicide" for a traffic stop. If young White boys from Vanderbilt start getting murdered while in their 20' s unarmed, then you can understand the ongoing situation but they're not. Kaplan Is someone I respect for standing for the voice less.

And also, he said last year at least 6 times on T.V, this is not in no way to offend the flag or the servicemen and woman. But folks who hate a fighter conveniently forget those parts of his press conference smdh

This confirms EXACTLY what I said.  You think ANYBODY is tuning in to see these jokers use their "platform" (fancy word bs justifying cra p) to see these guys say how unfair life is for black people?

And you're literally TELLING these people to go away.

Like I said, people will decide it's not worth bringing their families, their kids to watch these self-serving "protestors" (not fighting for anybody but black people right?).

At first it won't affect it much.  But it seems to be gaining steam, until these idiots figure out it's a JOB not a platform.

As for watching it, I have no choice.  I skip the anthem, imo it should never be played as it's done too often.  I'm in it for the ca$h and if there are self-serving idiots there protesting like they have for 50 years, never to stop ever, hey man so be it I'll be in the bathroom waiting for the game to start LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

Reality is Lincoln fought the war to prevent migration of slavery to the North.  That would mean blacks.

Lincoln wanted to deport blacks to Central America.  That's a fact.

The South/Confederacy were the ones who imported blacks and wanted more for their expanstion West.

You tell me who supports who.  But being a mass protesting idiot, why let the truth get in the way of reality.

Same with these protesting idiots who think they're doing a service telling everyone how they feel (not that anybody cares, it's a football game).  They don't know what they are doing is counterproductive.  Most of the black players want no part in it but the few need to make the many look bad.

My main question is when does this STOP.

As for ca$h, look for a reason to wager if there are locker room troubles.

budwiser, do you consider yourself an unprejudiced person?

Budwiser just said the south "imported" blacks as if they were coffee or something. He said it with positivity. I think it's fair to say budwiser is prejudice. And the fact that he takes these protest to be agsinst whites in general speaks volumes. It's one of those, "if the shoe fits..." scenarios.
Sids note: He said he's going to wait for games to start in the bathroom like a creep. So, because of a protest, you're not going to acknowledge the anthem either? You're going to hide in the bathroom.

My only comment is "How does any of this truly affect your life?"
It doesn't. Now go back to watching sports like you were already. IF any of this type of peaceful protesting bothers you then go look in the mirror and have along conversation with yourself about what truly matters. Get over it already.

They did import them into the country.  They came from overseas.

Arguing over nothing....

Like I said the bottom line is
A. Will this affect the NFL and
B.  Can we ca$h on this.

I will be on the look out for B.  Hasn't happened yet but those of usin the B. business can always hope.

probably a better question...does anybody care?  I'm pretty sure the answer's no, and besides I'm too old for anybody to care about it.

I'm probably on Mayweather for the fight, but not sure yet.

Answer is I'm prejudiced toward ca$hing as we all should be.  Like I said if you're wagering on your home team because you want to, you're making a mistake.

But I'm getting off topic.

You know what I can do.

Parlay the flag protesters to do the following:
A. Keep complaining
B. Go broke

You and I know Kap's well on his way.

It's a free country people can do as they please . The flag in my opinion does not stand for any one thing.Athletes sitting in protest should know that they were blessed to be in this country playing a game they love and getting paid for it. There are many parts of the world where people have no freedom and don't even have running water.

Should every minority start sitting for the flag? Where do you draw the line maybe you don't.

Just food for thought.

Personally I'd rather see these privileged millionaires do more than just protest. They have a lot of influence in their hometowns they can start to make change just by bringing people together.Lets see action if they want to make the world a better place.

Should I start sitting for the anthem because I disagree to where my tax dollars are going?

And teams/owners/coaches could decide to not want Kapernick on their team....yet we have protests and all these clowns calling out race because teams dont want him
