As i mentioned about game 3 in the Chi/Cle series who ever wins that 3rd game will most likely end up taking this series. Since i have a series future on the Bulls i obviously like them to take out the Cavs & if indeed the league wants the Bulls to advance to the ECF they will take game 3.........

...........well after watching game 3 it's kind of knocked me of kilter. The officiating was horrendous. I felt Chicago should have had a 8+ pt victory - rather than resorting to a Rose hail mary banker 3 in the finals seconds and that's after Lebron clear foul on Rose just seconds prior to that buzzer beater. Lebron got away w/ alot of fouls. Bulls should have gotten far more whistles. THey were being aggressive and refs swallowed their whistles.

Furthermore the stat prior to game 3 w/ Rose not attempting ONE SINGLE FT!!! He finally got several after that game but it's quite alarming that as aggressive as he has been in a long time he was not given any FT's. Even commentators stated how their were obviously missed calls - that's an under statement.

So all that leads me to think twice about Bulls advancing when things seem to be against them some what except for that game 1 victory. I know the league likes to extend series but i like to make sure who i have my money on wins key games w/ historical implications. What does this mean moving forward? absolutely nothing to me since i already have money on the Bulls for this series but it does make it more interesting.

Initially i was going to ride Chicago for gm4. It seems like everybody is expecting a Cleveland bounce back game. My view was that surely they couldn't try to fix 2 consecutive games for the Cavs after that terribly officiated gm3. The league can't be that blatant!?!?!

Well it looks like they're sending Crook Scott Foster for this game. I just looked at his record in the playoffs and this dude is 6-1 SU for the road team. I'm not sure ATS-wise but from brief look at scores in those games he has a positive record for road team ATS. Does the league want to push for a game 7 in what looks like a pretty decent ratings series? because sending it back to Cleveland 2-2 will most def guarantee at the very least 6 games.

I'll go w/ that angle and foster helping the play. If i'm on the wrong side & bulls win.....hey, it's still a win for me w/ my future series bet on the Bulls.

In these later stages of the playoffs is when Officiating becomes more of a factor. They begin to affect outcome of games more as they push their agendas further to try to achieve what ever it is that they know will gain them their beloved revenues. This is one of those spots i like, going by the angle i stated. It's what has made me the most money of the 9 yrs or so i've been betting the NBA. Officiating has become key for my profits in the playoffs.

I shouldn't really be playing this game as i failed to watch game 3 and get a good feel of the series. i'm going to go w/ the 'extend the series' angle either way.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Scott Foster now 7-1 SU for the road team in this years Playoffs. Fairly sure positive ATS for the road team also.

The 1st half was a doozy, especially the 2Q. There was a stretch there were Bulls were leading 37-31.....Bulls could not buy a call & eventually Cavs evened the ball game. I felt they should have been up at the very least by 10 pts  at that pt in the quarter w/ all the non calls they did not get form the refs.

The 2nd half it looked like Refs were calling more on Cavs....make up calls for to even up & tidy up the boxscores perhaps? but that time out no call and replay time out helped Cavs tremendously. I was surprised Lebron got called for that charge on Dunleavy and also the no call foul on Noah on that Lebron drive in the end - would those calls been given for Cavs if Bulls had been up? The scores were even all that time.

Either way i felt, much like gm3, that Chicago should have been up most of this game. Irving was hobbled and even though Gasol was out it bodes well for Chicago having Gibson in there instead to match up better w/ Thompson. FT was 24 Cavs to 12 Bulls. This game was a fix! mad suspect yet again.

I played Cavs solely based on Scott Foster and it paid off. Surely they cannot tilt the game towards Cleveland again for 3 consecutive games in a row. If so then Bulls never had a chance to win this series, spite of them taking that 1st game, wich most likely would have then been just a decoy, a ploy to extend this series. Again i will look at who they will send for game 5. I'm leaning Chicago atm so hopefully who ever they send to officiate will help support that. I smell Joe Crawford coming.

Made the mistake of taking GSW last game w/ McCutchen being 6-1 SU for the home team in these playoffs.

Scott Foster is terrible, but so predictable if you know his tendencies.

The ref assignments for tonight are very interesting.

Malloy, Mauer and Goble are very whistle happy refs - they have a huge offensive foul emphasis and constantly clocking the paint for anybody that stands in too long. They don't give away ticky tack fouls in the paint so you gotta work hard to get the refs to see obvious contact. Typically they let players scrap in the paint and fight for a loose ball instead of calling a quick foul. While fts are somewhat hard to come by with these guys, they do a good job of calling a game consistently. IMO, these are decent officials and it should set up for a slower paced game with lots of off-ball foul focus.

The next game is almost opposite officiating wise. Grizz have benefited from two ref crews in a row that allow tons of physical play and don't call many fouls inside. Looks like this changes tonight with Callahan, Fraher and Brothers with little touch fouls sending guys to the line. While everybody thinks Memphis should have the matchup advantage now after seeing them with Conley back and the dominance inside, these refs could easily screw up the way Memphis likes to grind it out in the paint on both ends of the ball. When you take out the grind of Memphis through a different style of officiating, this game basically becomes a shooting contest. Not to say this benefits GSW, because if you are talking about who the hotter shooters in this series are at this moment you gotta give it to Conley + Lee as they are both shooting over 40% from deep and are much more efficient as a whole. Still though, Dubs simply been "off shooting" which is why oddsmakers haven't adjusted them much. Even with the good defense of the Grizz, the Warriors' woes right now comes from not hitting open shots, lack of ball movement, and not appropriately spacing the floor during most offensive possessions to allow the ball to flow around the court to find the open shot.

i like the input about officiating. deeper the playoffs go the more these refs become a factor for each game.

Mauer is a crook though, he is one of those guys the league sends to get a specific outcome. In that sense yes he is decent, but in no way does this guy have the leagues best interest in mind over league agendas. I will simply be on the right or wrong side of him today. I can't see ATL go down 3-1 so i'm rolling the dice on these refs to even up the series here. All i know is that ATL should win today, covering on the other hand is something that may lie w/ the refs.

Good observation on the refs for GSW game. The public think GSW are down out out & in a funk......this will be the common perception after the last 2 games. Peoples minds may change after game 4.
