Pantera - "This Love"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tymWpEU8wpM

probably one of the few true metal songs listed in this thread, c'mon Warrant? Queensryche? Evanescence for christ sake! Alice In Chains definitly ain't metal - and it's about as "slow" as metal should get

KISS - Beth

Just a few more hours
And I'll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin'
Oh, Beth what can I do
Beth what can I do

Side note- WECKEDEM says Kiss is not Heavy Metal

Totally agree with the previously mentioned  Before the Dawn by Judas Priest    and I Still Love You  by Kiss is a powerful slow hard rock tune.   Love many of the others mentioned . I would throw in Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You  by Led Zep   and Save All your Love  by Great White.

Definitely an array of great songs listed here. But our definition of "Metal" must be questioned on some of these.

Planet Caravan is a great one, even though covered by Pantera it's a Black Sabbath original. Probably the first true "Metal" band.

This Love by Pantera is a great slow song, even though they ramp up the distortion in the song in various spots.

I'll go with "The Small Hours" by Metalica. Slow, eerie and heavy. Great chorus.

With better direction and management, Evanescence should have been a household name. I can still listen to "Bring me to Life" over and over without tiring of it.

I seen them live twice. Man did that broad have a set of pipes and she sure could command the stage. The band was spot on both times and didn't make any errors. Great musicians.
