If you like making future wagers, or are a fan of the team lock this bet in now.  This will be below 10-1, probably 8-1 before the start of the season.

No team suffered more injuries and lost more key players last year than the GB team.  They are also just as young as Seattle.

Obviously, not expecting the same injuries as this year, this team is more dangerous than any team out there.

1) They own their division.  Minnesota stinks, and will be 2 wins.  The Bears have a great offense, but Cutler cant beat GB or Rodgers.  The Lions are scary, but they are still the Lions.  That gives them at worst a 5-1 record.

2) They will play the NFC South.  There isnt any team that GB would struggle with.  Car has the D, but not the offense, NO would be a shootout, Atl would also be a shootout as I expect them to get much better this year, and Tampa still isnt ready.  I see them going 3-1.

3) They play the AFC East.  Fact is the AFC stinks.  Buffalo, Jets and Miami are all on their way up, but not ready yet to make a statement.  The Pats are the Pats, but not good enough.  I see them going 4-0, worst case 3-1 against the AFC East.

4)  That leaves Seattle and Philly left.  Pending the location of those games, I see that 1-1 at worse.

Pending major injuries, I have them at 12-4 worst case, with a 13-3 not being much to ask.

But, here is why that should be good enough to get the #1, atleast #2 seed.

1) The NFC West is going to be tough.  All four teams are going to be dangerous, and I dont see any of those teams going better than 4-2.

2)  The same will be said for the NFC South, as I dont see either team going better than 4-2.

3)  Nobody in the NFC East is worth worrying about, as those teams will probably be around 10-6 at best.

For those reasons, that means each team from that division could only lose 1 other game the rest of the year to be ahead of them.

GB will not address the offense too much in the off-season, besides maybe a TE and line help.

However, word is around the team they are finally ready to spend some money in free agency.  This team is known for building through the draft and not spending money outside.  But, they realize they have to compete with Sea, SF and Car with solid D's.  I wouldnt be shocked if they added 2, maybe 3 big free agents on the D side of the ball.  Hot talk right now is they are going to make a play for Brian Orakpo.  If they could get another rusher opposite of Matthews, and add some secondary help, this team can be the most dangerous team in the NFC.  GB has the money to spend this off-season.

Gb won the Superbowl when they added big free agents Reggie White and Charles Woodson, and they are going to try to go in that direction again.

Injuries are everything in the NFL and showed this year, as GB lost their QB, RB, WE, TE, 2 lineman, 3dlinemen, 2 lbs and 3 secondary players this year for multiple games.

If you are looking for value for next year, Gb at 16-1 is a steal right now.  Before the season starts, they will probably be 8-1.  The NFC is so tough, but if they can avoid missing so many important players for so many games next season, GB should be near the top again

Only if Nick Collins comes back at safety, Packers back end is garbage.

Ha, ha, Pats crushed the Colts, Colts beat Denver = Pats should easily beat Denver.

Does not work that way.

GB pass defense is horrendous about like Denver's, seen the result of that pass defense didn't you ?

Unless GB addresses that , there won't be any SB's in their future.

Disagree...GB had too many injuries this year to judge...if they make 2 big additions on D which they have money for, there is no reason they dont get the #1 or #2 seed....then all you have to do is win 2 games to play in the Superbowl

1st off they aren't beating Seattle or New orleans and you heard it here 1st Tampa Bay will win more games than Carolina next year so i can see GB losing to TB

As for free agency i'll believe it when i see it

I do think a healthy GB team is just as dangerous as Sea or Sf.....

As for biggest homer....I think that Capernicking guy wins that award now

"The NFC West is going to be tough.  All four teams are going to be dangerous, and I dont see any of those teams going better than 4-2.

2)  The same will be said for the NFC South"

You say this...

and then you say...

"They will play the NFC South.  There isnt any team that GB would struggle with.  Car has the D, but not the offense, NO would be a shootout, Atl would also be a shootout as I expect them to get much better this year, and Tampa still isnt ready.  I see them going 3-1."

This to me shows that you're really scraping for answers here. What's the line on that the Packers don't make the playoffs? I'd like to lay some money on that.

I guess I worded that incorrectly...I should have said the NFC West and NFC South will be very "EVEN"....meaning all 4 teams will give each other problems....

That is not true for the North, as a healthy GB team doesnt struggle with any of the teams in their division....

You want to bet GB not making the playoffs???  Even though they just made the playoffs having more injuries than any team, including Rodgers for half the year???  Good luck with that bet

Thanks for your input.....maybe because I am one of the better on here.  Only winning big bets with Sea ML, and Auburn in the title game, almost hitting that ML too....

I'm curious to know how/why The Palms has it at 17/1 and The M and Venetian have it at 15/1 since all their books are run by Cantor?

Im not saying they win it all...but because of their dominance in the division, and how even I think the NFC South and West will be, without huge injuries again I see no reason GB cant be the #1 or #2 seed....

Seeing you can grab them at 16-1, thats great odds....

IF, yes if, they decide to make a big splash or 2 on the D side of the ball...there is no team better than them overall

16:1 Implies around a 5% chance of winning according to a certain competing website's calculator. If you think the Packers get a 1 or 2 seed then I believe this is a good bet.

I think you are a bit optimistic on the Packers results against the NFC South and if they don't go 1-1 against the Eagles\Seahawks then you are looking at losing that 1 or 2 seed they covet so much.

Personally, I would rather have the Colts at around 28:1 in a weaker AFC. I don't know how their schedule plays outside of the division but I see the owning the division much the same way the Packers will own the North next season.

No reason you cant bet both though right? Good insight Pack.

Good luck.
Packers struggle against the Seahawks and 49ers though because of matchup problems.

I'm on the Seahawks 7 to 1 odds to win the 2015 Super Bowl.

Ktrain-- I like both the Colts and Cinncy next year, but I just dont think the AFC can compete with the top of the NFC....good luck to your Lions next year, if they draft Evans opposite of Calvin  I still think they are a year or two away, but sad to see Schwartz go cause they were never going to win with him....now they have chances

Bollox--With their offense, they dont need to be great on D, just need to be average....adding a pash rusher opposite of Matthews makes the entire D better.  Also, a couple improvements in the secondary, and they will be just good enough

Gun--Dont get me wrong, Sea and SF are beyond tough...but they will battle all year in that division.  If GB can steal a #1 or #2 seed, who knows what they can do.  Cant go wrong with Sea and that D at home, but for pure odds I think GB is a great option
